LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: AJ McLean’s family had a unique bond with Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss and it has been revealed by the Backstreet Boy’s wife, Rochelle. In a heart-melting tribute to the DJ, she shared an Instagram photo and talked in depth about their relationship with the 40-year-old star.

"@sir_twitch_alot is someone my family has loved and admired for years. The dance world lost a legend and we are forever grateful to have been a witness to his gift, his smile, and his kindness. Twitch, may you rest in peace. Sending love and strength to Allison their children,” it read. In the photograph, Rochelle can be seen along with McLean and their daughters Lyric Dean, 5, and Elliot Jaymes, 10, at the premiere of 'Paddington 2' in 2018.

It was McLean who first posted the picture of his daughter Elliott and tWitch together in 2020, two years after she had taken up competitive dancing. He then wrote, "Ava got to meet her new fav dancer Stephen tWitch Boss. He said she's got daddy's moves and ambition and she kicked butt in his class. Thanks to the 24 Seven Dance Convention."

At the convention, McLean also tweeted about taking a class with Boss himself, with the deceased star calling him up on stage. On Wednesday, December 14, Boss’s wife, Allison confirmed to People, about her husband’s death, "It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans."

In her statement, Allison further said, "To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I am certain there won't be a day that goes by that we won't honor his memory. We ask for privacy during this difficult time for myself and especially for our three children."

Popularly called 'tWitch', Boss began his TV career as a dancer on 'So You Think You Can Dance'. For Season 4 of the show in 2008, he was the runner-up. On Season 10, he appeared as an all-star, reports MEAWW. Boss rose to public attention in 2014 through his regular appearance as a DJ on DeGeneres' talk show. In 2020, he eventually took up the role of the show's executive producer. Until the end of the show in 2022, Boss worked with her.
