Another Monday night and the exciting FOX thriller 'The Cleaning Lady' returns with a brand new episode that sees Thony in a major fix that could alter her and her family's fate.
Previously on 'The Cleaning Lady' Thony successfully operated on her son, carrying out the liver transplant herself thus giving Luca a fresh chance at life. Meanwhile, Arman's master plan goes for a toss after Hayak smells something fishy, causing him to leave Thony for the moment with the promise to come back for her. In episode 8, we saw Arman (Adan Canto) and Thony (Élodie Yung) in Mexico following which Arman had to leave due to Hayak (Navid Negahban) finding out about his deceit. Although his wife Nadia (Eva De Dominici ) handled the situation temporarily by feigning an affair, the tale is far from over. The preview shows Nadia yelling his name as she finds her husband injured and unconscious after being caught in an explosion, thanks to a bomb planted in his car. He's been out cold for a week which means Thony has been stranded for a week in Mexico as well.
This is when we see her finally reach him after he awakens. But the ordeal isn't over as he suspects Hayak is behind the attack and has to stay low for a while. This leaves Thony on her own to come back to Las Vegas, with the only way being forging documents that say she's an American citizen. Arman gets her in touch with a man who forges their passports as she, Luca, and the donor must cross back at the borders. The sneak peek sees a tense Thony in line with other immigrants which is when things go wrong.
As a precaution, she made Luca's last name the same as the donor as she is an American citizen while Thony isn't. Both Thony and Luca run the risk of being caught with forgeries, but her calculations pay off as her son isn't questioned but let through easily. Alas, Thony isn't quite lucky as the officer warns her that using a forged document is a federal crime giving her the option of walking away or escalating the issue with her supervisor. The preview ends with a tearful Thony feeling helpless as Luca calls out for her from the other side of the line. Looks like the situation went from bad to worse, with her being stuck in Mexico now.
