In classic ‘The Circle’ fashion, the show asked its contestants to rate the other contestants, from best to least, and then later had the contestants pick out one other participant who they thought should be blocked. If the person who makes the pick is among the top two ranked players, then that person is an “influencer,” and whoever the influencer blocks will be removed from the game. This challenge set about many rivalries, and chaos ensued as each contestant picked someone, hoping they were not the influencer who would tragically send a fellow player home.

The first influencer was Raven, who picked Brett because she did not connect with him particularly well. After it was revealed that Raven ranked in the top two, Brett had to start packing his bags for home as the competition continued with the rest of the players. Finally, it came down to Chaz, and Marvin Achi, as either of the two would end up being the influencer. As the situation got tense, Marvin picked Sam Carmona, while Chaz picked Xanthi. Finally, it was revealed that Chaz was the top-rated player and Xanthi had to exit the show. But as the Greek model was preparing to pack her bags, she was told that she could visit the other blocked contestant for a face-to-face chat.

Xanthi then met up with Brett, who was happy to learn she wasn’t a catfish. And just as the two were getting to know one another, the game show revealed that there was still a way for the pair to stick around if they were willing to team up. As per ‘The Circle,’ all the duo had to do, was create a fake profile as the “cougar” Jennifer, a 51-year-old dog trainer. The pair were enthusiastic about winning a second chance and jumped at the opportunity to catfish the others.

Catch Xanthi and Brett play as Jennifer in ‘The Circle’ streaming on Netflix.
