'Future champion?': 'The Challenge' star Wes Bergmann is expecting first baby with wife Amanda
KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: 'The Challenge' star Wes Bergmann, currently competing in 'World Championship', has made an announcement that all his fans have been eagerly waiting for. No, it's not another "I am not a piece of meat" announcement to his fans. Wes took to Instagram on March 5 to share with his followers that he and his wife, Amanda Hornick are about to become parents! The soon-to-be-parents also shared the time of the arrival of Baby Bergmann.
MTV's 'The Challenge' is known for the intense drama that transpires each week, and Wes is one of the show's greatest "villains" in its history. The 38-year-old initially appeared to fans on 'Real World: Austin' in 2005. Since his appearance on the show, he has gained notoriety as a pot-stirrer on 'The Challenge,' as well as Johnny "Bananas" Devenanzio's sworn adversary for more than a decade. While Wes is not a popular housemate among his fellow Challenge co-stars, he is only concerned with one person's opinion: his wife, Amanda. Wes wedded Amanda in June 2018, encircled by his 'Real World' co-stars Lacey Buehler, Rachel Moyal, Nehemiah Clark, and Melinda Stolp. The couple got engaged in 2016 after the reality personality proposed to his two-year partner at a Kansas City Royals game. After welcoming a pup in 2021, they are now set to grow their family with the newest addition: Baby Bergmann.

Wes, a two-time Challenge winner, announced to his admirers, friends, and followers that he has become a father. Several Challenge stars have added new members to their families in the last few years. Zach Nichols and Jenna Compono, Kyle Christie and his partner Vicky Turner, and Theresa Jones and her spouse TJ Jones are among them. Wes and his wife surprised everyone with this unexpected announcement.
In a joint post shared by their Instagram accounts, the couple wrote, "Baby Bergmann, coming this September 🌋 We would like to take a second to thank all of our friends, family, and supporters who continue to help us become the best versions of ourselves. We aim to pour all of that love into this child in an effort to make him/her the next great, ginger, genius. While we are entering into this new stage of life with immense gratitude, we know the season of waiting too and send love & strength to anyone else hoping to one day become parents themselves. Dare we say, future Challenge champion?"
‘I am not a piece of meat’
Wes recently delivered some crucial words to his fans. The reality personality, who is frequently criticized for his physical look and ego, stated on social media that he wants to be seen as more than just a physical object for their enjoyment.
Between his time on 'The Real World: Austin' and his frequent performances on 'The Challenge,' Wes has created quite a reputation for himself in the world of reality television. However, it appears that Wes would like to change things up when it comes to engaging with followers. Wes recently posted a public service statement for his followers on Instagram, emphasizing that he is more than just "a piece of meat."
Wes' sarcastic statement didn't end there. Furthermore, the 'The Challenge' star admitted that while he is "sexually gifted," he is not always ready to be accessible. He's also conscious that some fans prefer redheads, and that he's a source of inspiration for many of his supporters. He then joked — we presume — that some viewers see him as the one who got away, and he feels that is their issue, not his.
