With Elizabeth going full rogue following Red killing her mother Katarina, things have tensed up in The Blacklist's eighth season. We know she is thirsty with vengeance, waiting to destroy Red the way he destroyed any last shot at her mother's redemption. But looks like being on the run isn't the most Liz is going to indulge in. She will target Red where it hurts the most, and being number 1 on the Blacklist doesn't even begin to cover half of it.

On tonight's Episode 4 of this season, titled 'Elizabeth Keen', we see a full circle arc for Megan Boone's FBI agent turned rogue Blacklister. From being the one hunting Blacklisters, Liz has now become one of them. She is the most sought person on their Blacklist and the show is not even being coy about that anymore. In Entertainment Weekly's released teaser snippet for the coming episode, viewers can see Liz's name pop up on the top of their list and thus her character arc has been through quite the 180.

But Liz isn't the only one going rogue. We know she's reunited with Esi Jackson, the private eye she snatched from Red following Katarina's murder. Also, with old cases resurfacing, the whole dynamic of the show changes as Liz takes the ultimate step of recruiting those very people she had been hunting with Red so far. Red has always collaborated in the past to help the team take down blacklisters as new cases emerge but although the next episode promises a new foe, looks like Liz's arc will take up most of the time on the show. The reason? Creator John Bokenkamp teased to EW that Liz "will be flipping, in a way, his (Red) pattern and aligning herself with Blacklisters.”

While the Liz and Red dynamic is incomparable and nothing can beat the two of them teaming up, it will be interesting to witness just how far Liz is able to keep up this vendetta now that she will be working against him. Red wasn't just a coworker, he was a mentor, a source of comfort, and a dear friend to Liz too. Her acting out this close to what has been teased as Red's eventual death from a terminal disease will only wreck her further.

'The Blacklist' Season 8 airs on Fridays at 8 pm only on NBC.
