Percy Jackson’s quests may be full of surprises, but sometimes the biggest twists happen off-screen. A brand-new update from ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ has fans feeling like they stumbled upon a prophecy straight from the oracle. According to the surveys, the debut season ranked among the top five most-watched original series across all streaming platforms. Adapted from author Rick Riordan’s five-book saga, the Disney+ original has only begun to scratch the surface of the story. So even with season 2’s premiere on Wednesday, December 10, viewers are already asking where the adventure goes next.

Months before ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Season 2 graced the screens; it got renewed for a third season earlier in 2025. As per Disney’s press center, President of Disney Branded Television, Ayo Davis, stated, “From the moment Percy Jackson and the Olympians debuted, it was clear this series had struck a chord with fans of all ages. With season two set to premiere this December, we're thrilled to announce that Percy's journey will continue with a third season. Huge thanks to our incredible cast and creative team, our partners at 20th Television, and our visionary and talented producers who continue to bring Rick Riordan's world to life with such depth and imagination.”

Echoing the same sentiment, Rick Riordan added, “We're so grateful to be continuing the story of Percy Jackson on Disney+. This third season will be new territory for the screen, bringing fan favorites like the Hunters of Artemis and Nico di Angelo to life for the first time.” ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Season 3 will be adapted from his book ‘The Titan’s Curse’, released in 2007. For the unversed, the story will follow Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) and his friends as they set out on a dangerous quest. They must save Annabeth Chase, their demigod friend, and the Greek goddess Artemis, as both have been taken captive by the Titan Atlas.

Several cast members are expected to return for the third season. It will include familiar faces like Walker Scobell (Percy), Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth), Aryan Simhadri (Grover), Charlie Bushnell (Luke), and Tamara Smart (Thalia). According to Rirordan’s announcement at SDCC 2025, Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie will play the Di Angelo siblings, Nico and Bianca. In the books, their characters become part of Camp Half Blood after being trapped in the infamous Lotus Hotel from ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Season 1, where time stands still for decades.

As per Entertainment Weekly, Dafne Keen, known for her roles in Logan, 'Deadpool & Wolverine', along with Saara Chaudry from the 'Muppets Mayhem', will be seen in ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Season 3. The former has been cast to play Artemis, the latter will star as Zoë Nightshade, Artemis's lieutenant. 'SNL' sensation Kate McKinnon will also appear as Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, in the series, meant to assist Percy in his quest. The second season is currently rolling out weekly on Disney+, with a new episode dropping every Wednesday.
