It is that time of the year yet again when we prepare ourselves for spooky Halloween season. As we curl up in our beds, laying under the blankets with the lights off, awaiting to binge-watch the scariest of the flicks, Netflix is here to make sure we have a tantalizing experience with an array of suspense thriller and horror movies to stream for the entire month of October. Featuring among the streaming giant's impressive lineup is the Italian language paranormal horror film ‘The Binding’ originally titled as ‘Il legame’. The film’s trailer is enough to give goosebumps and set us on a horror journey full of suspense. The film was shot in the South of Italy in Bari, Apulia as reported by What's On Netflix. ‘The Binding’ will be available to stream on Netflix on Friday, October 2. 

Plot

Though not many details have been revealed by Netflix, the official synopsis of the movie reads: “While visiting her fiancé's mother in southern Italy, a woman must fight the mysterious and malevolent curse intent on claiming her daughter.” MEAWW (Media Entertainment Arts Worldwide) will update this space further once more information is available. 

Cast

The paranormal horror film stars Riccardo Scamarcio, Federica Rosellini, and Sebastiano Filocamo. The other cast members have not been revealed by Netflix.

Riccardo Scamarcio

Born in Trani, Apulia in Italy, Riccardo Scamarcio's first role as a lead actor was in the feature film ‘Three Steps Over Heaven’ (2004). The actor garnered success with his dashing personality and acting skills and went on to act in films like ‘Texas’ (2005) and ‘Romanzo Criminale’.

Federica Rosellini

Born in 1989, Federica Rosellini has always been a theatre person and then forayed into films. Rosellini is prominently known for her work in films like ‘Dove cadono le ombre’ (2017) and ‘Agadah’ (2017).
