Since the start of 'The Bachelorette' Season 21, Sam and Devin have harbored animosity toward one another. Sam finds Devin's boisterous humor offensive, and he becomes irate when Devin pushes Jenn Tran away on a group outing.
Devin feels that Sam is not a good fit for Jenn, which is why he despises Sam just as much. Devin discussed his disagreement with Sam on the 'Bachelor Happy Hour' podcast recently.
Devin fueled the animosity early on by claiming on the show that he might have "pissed off a couple of his buddies, like [Aaron Erb] and [Thomas Nguyen]."
“I think he maybe thought that I could’ve been two-faced somehow, based on the way that I’ve been acting, like, ‘There’s no way this is who he is; he’s got to be somebody different,'” Devin added.
” … I think that, in my mind, the reason Sam doesn’t like me is because he’s probably met somebody like me in real life that he doesn’t like, and he’s associating me with that person. And no matter what I say or do, it’s always going to have that effect on him.”
Devin demonstrated his sincerity by saying that he "made the same a**" of himself in front of the men as he did with Jenn.
“I make people laugh, and I’m very embracing and comforting when it comes to people, so for me, I didn’t know,” he continued. “But in my mind, I was like, ‘OK, this isn’t going to change. So, if it’s not going to change, I might as well have a little fun with it.'”

Austin Ott, a contender, is seen wearing the identical sweatshirt on a different slide. Sam frequently refers to Jenn in this way.
Thomas, a fellow competitor and buddy, noticed the proverb as well. Given how much these men despised Devin, it makes reasonable that they would make fun of him.
With Sam's voiceover stating, "Keep the main thing the main thing," Austin shared a TikTok video of himself sporting the hoodie.
