'The Bachelorette' Season 19: Here's why former bachelor Nick Viall claims new season was 'Hell To Film'
The combined season of 'The Bachelorette' starring Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey premieres on July 11 and it will be a bit different. Primarily because there are two Bachelorettes, something the producers swear they will never do again.
The forthcoming season of 'The Bachelorette,' starring Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia, had some filming issues, according to former bachelor Nick Viall. 'The Bachelorette' Season 19 is creating history as the first season to include two leads serving as the Bachelorette for the whole season. The choice to have two leads seems to be decided hastily by the show's producers. ABC hasn't revealed much about the season's logistics, other than assuring that Rachel and Gabby won't be pitted against each other — but Nick Viall claims production on the show was difficult.

Gabby and Rachel were both finalists on Season 26 of 'The Bachelor,' which was led by Clayton Echard. Both ladies had great bonds with Clayton; nevertheless, Susie Evans, another season contestant, was eventually whom Clayton decided to be with. Bachelor Nation viewers adored Gabby and Rachel, but instead of deciding one breakout sensation should be the next Bachelorette, the producers chose them both. Given that Rachel and Gabby were ditched in a group dumping session by Clayton, it appears that the majority of 'The Bachelor' franchise fans prefer to see the ladies supporting and assisting one other instead of being in a competitive environment again.
Many people were excited for 'The Bachelorette' to adopt this format after the announcement, but many were unclear about how the season would unfold. Some predicted that the ladies would be pitted against one other, while others argued that having dual leads would ruin the season. The procedure will continue the same until the third rose ceremony, where Gabby and Rachel will hand out roses to guys they are interested in. Following that, the series will follow both of the women on their romantic adventures with the men they have selected.
On his podcast, 'Viall Files,' Nick stated that he spoke with the show's producers, who confessed that this season of 'The Bachelorette' was difficult to shoot. "They said it was hell to film because they decided to have two Bachelorettes, like, last second," Nick remarked. So the schedule was set up for only one Bachelorette. They had to cram everything in. Former Bachelor Nick also claimed that producers would most likely not implement this format again due to the stress of shooting the season. "The people I talk to, they hope they never do it again. Just because of the logistics," he added. According to the Bachelor Nation alum, segments of the show would take place aboard a cruise ship, which provided several issues for producers.
Nick also discussed the show's parameters and how the ladies would interact with the guys, remarking that the show will be similar to 'Bachelor In Paradise.' "The thing about Paradise, what makes it different is people have options," Nick explained, but for Rachel and Gabby's season of 'The Bachelorette,' he believes that the showrunners would divide up the men early on, so that each girl will have her own season. "It would be like if two friends go to a bar and after the first night, they just decide — or go to a party and be like, ‘Who are you into?’ And they just kind of just decide," he adds. However, Nick said that there may be some crossover, with Rachel and Gabby perhaps dating the same person at some time.
Nick also stated that the show's producers are doing everything possible to guarantee that the ladies are working together rather than competing. Mike Fleiss, the show's creator and executive producer, also promised fans that Gabby and Rachel will not clash throughout the season. "No drama...Just two friends helping each other find true love!" in April, Mike tweeted.
Nick's teasers for The Bachelorette Season 19 indicate that viewers have a lot to look forward to. The show will be hosted by Jesse Palmer. Gabby and Rachel will soon be able to pick among 32 possible suitors, some of whom fans have already fallen in love with. ' The Bachelorette's nineteenth season, which has already finished production, will air on ABC on Monday, July 11 at 8 pm ET/PT.
