'The Bachelor' Season 26: Rachel's dad Tony 'toxic' edit makes fan upset

Clayton Echard now has to make a few life-altering choices in the hometowns segment of' The Bachelor'. After all, meeting the parents of the finalists boils down to if he can see a future with them. But, at the same time, the families, too, come with their own opinions of Clayton.

Rachel and Clayton might have had instant chemistry right from the get-go, but there are still other women that Clayton has strong bonds with. However, Rachel has always been confident about her connection with Clayton. The only thing that seems to make her falter is what her dad Tony might say about their relationship. And turns out, he's never been easy on the men in Rachel's life.

Clayton met with Rachel's parents, Mary and Tony and her best friends, Nate and Sam. Apart from Rachel's warnings about her father, Sam too echoed the same sentiments, suggesting that Clayton should do what he has to, but make his peace with the fact that Tony is impossible to please. When Clayton sat down with Tony, he asked her if he really knew Rachel, like her dreams and aspirations. He questioned if Clayton would support her no matter what and how he would keep her happy. Clayton insisted that he pictured a future with Rachel.

Fans were surprised that Tony got the hardcore edit, only for him to be a man who was just genuinely concerned about his daughter's happiness. Tony mentioned that Clayton would not get his blessings until Rachel told him that he was the one. But Clayton could breathe easily, seeing that Rachel gushed about Clayton to Tony, which earned him a seal of approval, which came in the form of a handshake and a pat.
