Remember when Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper set tongues wagging after their steamy 2019 Oscar performance? The 'A Star is Born' actors may have left everybody disappointed by not becoming a couple after that passion-filled performance, but it did inspire Chris Harrison to come up with a new way of finding love on television.

'The Bachelor' franchise host was so awestruck by the couple's performance that he immediately came up with an idea of getting the couples to sing for the latest Bachelor franchise offering — 'The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’.

"Oh, my God, they (Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper) could literally be rolling on the floor right now making love. We thought, could we do this? Could we put a 'Bachelor' spin on this and create a couple that is also an incredible singing duet?" the host said in an interview with The Wrap

Harrison and his team managed to come up with the idea for spin-off but feared if the public would "connect" with the new format. But once they began filming, Harrison was more than confident that the audience would adore it. He shared, "That was my big fear when we started. Will people connect? Will there be that same kind of passion that Bachelor Nation has with other shows? Quickly I realized, yes. This works. You will connect with these people."

The upcoming new show will be a mix of ‘The Bachelor in Paradise’ and a singing talent show. For the initial few episodes, the singles will spend time finding their partner with new singles being introduced in each episode. The episodes will end with a rose ceremony, just like the regular format of 'The Bachelor' franchise. But things will take a turn once the couples have been formed. They will be judged based on their musical talent and their chemistry during the performance.

The couples will perform duets and the celebrity judges will decide the fate of the couples based on their performance and chemistry. Harrison explains that the new show will help find a "power couple" that has both "love and success on stage".

'The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart' premieres on April 13 at 8 pm ET/PT on ABC.
