Spoilers for 'The 100' Series Finale 'The Last War'

The final episode of 'The 100' has aired on The CW, but was it worth the seven seasons that came before it? While Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) got somewhat a happy ending with her friends choosing to come back from transcendence, there was one big absence that many fans could not ignore.

Earlier this season, Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley) saw the Groot-like beings of light and began to believe in transcendence. Unfortunately, instead of knowing what to believe, he blindly followed Bill Cadogan (John Pyper-Ferguson), and this resulted in his death when Clarke shot him so she could keep her daughter, Madi (Lola Flannery) safe. The episodes following that only showed that Bellamy's death was more and more pointless, given that Cadogan got to Madi anyway. There was more salt rubbed in the wound in the series finale when Levitt (Jason Diaz) confirms to Octavia Blake (Marie Avgeropoulos) that the dead don't transcend.

It turns out, however, that Bellamy was right about transcendence -- that it was worth something. Again, unfortunately, he followed the wrong person and that leaves us with many "if only" situations. Clearly, many fans are upset that while Bellamy was proven right about transcendence, he did not get to experience it and while we got some great cameos, they only made Bellamy's glaring absence more seen.

One fan tweeted, "Bellamy always ran after his friends. saving clarke from roan. opening the bunker for octavia, twice. volunteering to get raven from becca's lab. bringing murphy food on the ring he should've been here #the100." They continued, "we got three incredibly shallow bellamy mentions. that's it he's the male lead, the heart, and received no respect in the finale. how can anyone, whether you like him or not, look at this and not feel cheated by the way his character arc went down?? #the100."

One fan pointed out, "Bellamy was right and nobody listened to him he was the hero he tried to save his people #the100." Another wrote, "so you’re telling me bellamy was right. All he ever wanted to do was protect the people he loved, bellamy died thinking they all hated him and the fact that no one believed him and he had one the worst endings ever. i’m crying this absolutely sucks he deserved better. #the100." Yana Grebenyuk who writes for TV Fanatic tweeted, "So everyone transcended except the one person who believed in all of this. Bellamy Blake deserved better."
