Taron Egerton says he has 'every intention' of reprising his role as Eggsy in 'Kingsman 3'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The 'Kingsman' franchise has been through a lot - from Gary Eggsy starting a relationship with Harry Hart to the latter's memory loss. The action film directed by Matthew Vaughn paved the way for Taron Egerton to enter the industry, and he certainly has not forgotten his roots.
The 'Rocketman' actor rose to fame with 'Kingsman: The Secret Service' as Eggsy, a Royal Marines dropout. When he is recruited by Harry Hart, he becomes a member of Kingsman, a secret society formed during World War I to protect the United Kingdom. With three films in the series already featuring Egerton in two roles, Vaughn is about to add another with 'The King's Man.' With the three-parter titled 'Kingsman: The Blue Blood' confirmed, there is a possibility that Eggsy, played by Egerton, will also return.

'It's the role that made my name'
With news of a new installment in the 'Kingsman' franchise mounting, fans are hoping to see their favorite duo together. Vaughn, the director of the action films, is clearing the way for a new story, and actor Taron Egerton wants to reprise his role in 'Kingsman: The Blue Blood.' During an interview with Collider, he said, "[Vaughn] has every intention of making it, and I have every intention of playing Eggsy one more time. That was always what I thought I was committed to doing. It's the role that made my name, so I suppose, in a way, I just want it to be absolutely right if we do it again, and I want the story to do justice to the part that changed my life."
The 'Rocketman' fame even hinted at having his ideas for the film, which he wished to pitch to the director. "I mean, I have an idea for Kingsman. I have my own idea that I would like to pitch to Matthew, and I think that will be happening soon but he has the wheels in motion on a big idea of his own," he added.
Will Colin Firth return to 'Kingsman' franchise?
Egerton revealed that filming will begin on the triplequel in 2023, which is apparently set to hit theaters later this year. With his intention to reprise his role in the film, Egerton wished that his co-star Colin Firth would also return. He said, "I want it to be a fitting ending. And I would, obviously, really hope that Colin [Firth] would come back for at least a part of it."
Egerton's new film 'Tetris' is here. It portrays Henk Rogers, who discovers 'Tetris' in 1988 and then risks everything by traveling to the Soviet Union, where he teams up with inventor Alexey Pajitnov to bring the game to the people.
The Jon S Baird helmed 'Tetris' is available to stream on Apple TV+.
