She had set a goal weight of 550 lbs to be approved for surgery. However, during Season 3 of '1000-lb sisters,' viewers were able to witness Tammy drop several pounds and be approved for her life-saving bariatric surgery. After successfully undergoing the surgery in the summer of 2022, Tammy lost 300 lbs and now weighs almost 400 lbs.
