'Take a bow': Fans hail Brendan Fraser's magazine after his splendid comeback in 'The Whale'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Whale' has put 'The Mummy' star, Brendan Fraser back on the Hollywood map again. Fraser got his own magazine by A24 celebrating his return to acting. Fraser had his breakthrough in 1992 with the comedy 'Encino Man' and the drama 'School Ties'. He gained further prominence for his starring role as the titular character in 'George of the Jungle' (1997) and emerged as a star playing Rick O'Connell in 'The Mummy trilogy' (1999–2008).
Regardless, in the 2010s, his career began to suffer, with the actor finding himself starring in lackluster projects. Fraser's film work slowed from the late 2000s to mid-2010s because of various health problems, personal losses, and fallout from a sexual assault allegedly committed against him in 2003 by Philip Berk, the then-president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. However, director Darren Aronofsky cast Fraser in his moving drama 'The Whale', which sees him play a morbidly obese man attempting to reconnect with his estranged daughter. Fraser's lauded performance has garnered the actor several awards, and he was recently nominated for the Best Actor Oscar.

Magazine by A24
The studio behind 'The Whale', A24 has released a throwback magazine, or zine, that celebrates Fraser's prominent return to acting, which many have dubbed the "Brenaissance." The zine is inspired by the style of popular magazines geared toward teenagers during Fraser's initial rise to fame. The official Twitter account of A24 shared it online while captioning it, "Issue 20 of the zine is here"

'Take a bow'
After the magazine dropped some of the fans shared how they felt while watching 'The Whale' and applauded Fraser for pulling off such an amazing performance. A fan said, "Brendan Fraser, TAKE A BOW Unbelievable performance," while another added, "Went to see #TheWhale and I left @cineworld emotionally drained by it. Brendan Fraser take a bow. Absolutely phenomenal performance. I can't recommend it enough. Just brilliant." A fan wrote, "Brendan Fraser better win Best Actor. No other performance this year was as human, genuine, and real as he was in The Whale. Why it isn’t up for Best picture or Aronofsky isn’t up for Best Director is beyond me." A fan shared, "#TheWhale is a stunning film about caring for people as they are, in a culture that punishes people for not being as they "should" be. Finding wonder in people amidst their own undoing. Darren Aronofsky, Brendan Fraser and Samuel D Hunter deserve all the love for this one." Lastly, a fan tweeted, "Films don't often make me emotional but I had tears (many of them) running down my face at the end of this .. Brendan Fraser was truly outstanding and the last scene alone deserves every award in existence."
