‘So happy’: Susan Sarandon’s daughter Eva Amurri shows off her ring as she gets engaged to chef Ian Hock after two years of dating
PARIS, FRANCE: Susan Sarandon’s daughter, Eva Amurri announced her engagement to her long-term chef boyfriend Ian Hock in a sweet Instagram post on Monday, February 20. The blogger, 37, shared a series of snaps, showing off her ring while posing next to her fiance, 38. The pair, who have been dating each other for two years, got engaged in the city of love, Paris, according to their social media post.
Amurri and Hock penned a joint post on Instagram which began with a lyric from Taylor Swift’s song 'Lover'. “My Heart’s Been Borrowed And Yours Has Been Blue. All’s Well That Ends Well To End Up With You,” they wrote in the caption. “Those who know us know so well what this moment means to us. We are so so so happy. Can’t wait to spend all the rest of our days together", they said in the joint post. Amurri then flocked to her Instagram story to gush over Hock’s ring selection, saying that she is “absolutely dying” over a picture of the bling. She also revealed that her now fiance proposed to her in the garden of the Rodin Museum which is also her “most favorite museum in Paris.”

'We cannot wait for all the future has in store'
The ‘New Girl’ actress also took some time out to thank her fans for their “beautiful messages of congratulations” admitting that the pair feels “supported and enveloped by our community.” She further wrote: “One thing I’ve learned over the years is that a relationship’s success and health has much to do with your community uplifting you and your journey as a couple as it does with your bond as a couple. We cannot wait for all the future has in store.”
Where did Amurri and Hock meet?
The actress confirmed that she is dating Hock in 2021 on her Happily Eva After blog. “I’m beyond happy to share with you that I have a wonderful boyfriend in my life!” she wrote in a post called A Little Love Life Update. “His name is Ian, he’s super loving, creative, handsome, and funny, and we have a ton in common," she stated. Amurri continued to write that the pair met each other when she "went to eat dinner at his restaurant with a friend." After initially noticing a spark, the couple followed each other on Instagram and began "exchanging messages and laughing together via text."
"We discovered how much we had in common (both foodies, love going to museums, both bookworms, both speak French...and little by little we created a really special friendship. All before even going on a date! By the time he took me to dinner for the first time, I felt SO close to him and so safe with him, and it was an old-fashioned courtship in a lot of ways," she concluded.
