It’s Wednesday night and ‘Survivor’ was back on our TV screens with another scintillating episode filled with twists. We have already seen three members getting eliminated in the first two episodes of the season. Yellow tribe is already 2 members short while the Green tribe lost Sara during the premiere episode.

However, the stakes are getting higher because everyone is trying to play their best game and move ahead in the contest. With all the drama that happened at the tribal council in the previous episode, every tribe was sleeping at their respective when Tiffany from the Yellow tribe finds a letter with “Beware Advantage” written over it. Elsewhere, Brad from Green tribe and Sydney from Blue found it as well. The trio was taken to a private island at night, where they found that they would have to use “tarp” or “steal a vote.” If all three choose tarp, all tribes receive a tarp. If all three choose to steal a vote, they all lose voting rights at the tribal council. But if they have a split decision, tarps get nothing while steal a vote get to “steal a vote” at the tribal council.

On the other hand, Shantel gets to know that JD has an advantage as well. She is really upset to learn that he did not tell her about it. As a result, he gives that letter to Shan and called it a “million-dollar mistake.” But now, it was time for the immunity task, and just like always, it was the Blue tribe that started strong. At the start, Green was second in the competition while Yellow once began pathetically. As the task progressed, members of the Yellow tribe gave their best and came right back in.

Teams had to swim in the ocean and walk on the ropes to get to the other side. Then, they had to take out all the small bags filled with sand and each team member from the tribe had to shoot them and place them over the counters attached to poles. DeShawn from the Blue tribe started strong and took the lead while Xander from Yellow picked up pace as well. However, JD from Green struggled a lot. DeShawn was quick enough in placing three bags on the counter. In the end, it was the Blue tribe that won the task and garnered immunity once again. Elsewhere, a miracle happened when Xander was able to put all the five bags on the counter, making his team win the first task of the season.

Green tribe had to go to the tribal council and vote. Everyone was tensed and Ricard was upset that someone from the tribe betrayed him in the earlier episodes. He was talking about Genie writing his name during the elimination in the premiere episode. The voting took place and it was Brad who got voted out even when he had two advantages with him.

Brad (Green Tribe) became the fourth contestant to get eliminated from 'Survivor' Season 41 (CBS)

All in all, Episode 3 was strong enough to keep viewers at the edge of their seats, but too many advantages might annoy fans. Also, in the previous episode, it was too obvious that Voce was going to be eliminated because host Jeff Probst asked him about his background and that seemed to signal that the host wanted viewers to know more about the contestant before he leaves the show. However, it was the opposite this time around. The same thing happened with JD, who told everything about his life to the host. However, it was Brad who was cut loose.

‘Survivor’ Season 41 returns to CBS with a new episode every Wednesday at 8 pm EST.
