The veteran reality show 'Survivor' is finally gearing up with a new season. 'Survivor' Season 41 will see 18 new players competing against each other in pursuit of huge prize money. Sydney Segal is a Law student from Los Angeles, California, and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. Her hobbies are running, knitting, crocheting, and soccer. Segal speaks Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and French. The 26-year-old describes herself as a 'wild' person. What's prepared her the most for this game is her history as an athlete. Sydney was a Division I track and field runner, a California State Champion in cross country, a runner up in track for the two-mile.

In an interview with Parade about the show, she said, "I’ve been watching since I could remember. When it was on Thursdays, we’d have people over for Thursday parties. It was so fun when I was young; it was always something to look forward to. I used to have a Survivor buff I would wear as a dress. When I was living abroad, I used to stream it illegally because I was too cheap to buy a VPN. It’s always just been a part of my life".

Early life and education

Segal is currently pursuing her education as a Law student.

Career

"I have the essential social skills and social awareness. I am athletic, but not some 6'2" buff dude who will be threatening. I am not a creature of habit and can adapt to any situation. Having watched 'Survivor', I have the benefit of hindsight and think I have a high 'Survivor' IQ. I play to win." Being a competitive runner in the past, we know that she’ll be a real asset in challenges fairly early on.

Personal life

Sydney looks up to her father as an inspiration. She said, "He is the second messiah to me. He is even-keeled and rational. My dad is the perfect role model and the most positive person I have ever met, even in circumstances where it would be easy to get down." Needless to say, the father and daughter share a very close bond.

Sydney has not disclosed anything about her dating life online but her Instagram has a different story to tell!

She also seems pretty close to her brothers.
