Who needs Nanny McPhee when you have 'Supernanny' back on your screens helping your family.

With the new year just begun, Jo Frost is back with her skilled parenting advice for an all-new season. The final episode of 'Supernanny' aired eight years ago, and now with families getting into chaos once again, Jo Frost is back to help parents come together in order to control their kids and bring peace to their families.

Parenting is not an easy task - a fact known to every parent out there. And most families could use help in trying to manage the complications that come with having kids. Though there are parenting books and advice available both in bookstores and online, nothing can be compared to watching an expert dealing with such issues in real life and learning from it.

Apart from the families who get to witness Jo's life-altering parenting skills, viewers back home will also be able to learn along with them. And these families do open up their homes to Jo and her expert skills and she is seen truly helping the families - all of which can be seen in the episode that airs.

In the premiere episode, we were introduced to the Braido household, where working parents Jessica and CJ Braido are trying hard to keep their house from falling apart as they feel like they are being run over by their four toddlers. At the beginning of the episode, we can see how they are at a loss when it comes to parenting skills and perspectives.

It seems like the only thing the couple can agree on while trying to get their kids to calm down is the use of tablets and Kindles as a babysitting option so that they can get their much-deserved peace.

But when Jo walks in, she takes control and teaches the parents what to do, what not to do, and how to do them. Apart from that she also teaches them how to sprinkle positive praises on their kids when needed to make them listen more.

Another issue afflicting the Braido household is the tantrums thrown by their eldest daughter, Riley, who just need attention, which her parents are too busy to give her. Toddler or not, every kid craves attention from their parents, and Jo helps CJ and Jessica understand that. But at the same time, she teaches CJ not to be too lenient and to be firm.

Jo also reveals that when kids say no that is just to spark a reaction, and added to that they hear it from their parents too. She teaches them how to face their fears of going out in public with the kids and how to keep them in check without them throwing tantrums.

She also taught them how to know when not to react to their tantrums and how using a calm voice at times helps. Overall, to see the improvement Jo made over the course of just one week, shows that this show has a lot to teach parents and how to help them as well.

'Supernanny' airs every Wednesday night only on Lifetime. Check your local listings for more information.
