Forget nude selfies of Emily Ratajkowski. The supermodel-turned-actor now has new music and book recommendations for everyone who is under lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The number of coronavirus cases in New York City has touched about a 100,000, keeping people under complete isolation and lockdown. Ergo, you still need to be home and figure out various ways to keep busy and feel entertained too. Apart from binge-watching all the shows you can lay your hands on, among other things, here are some suggestions coming all the way from Emily Ratajkowski.

Locked up safely in her New York apartment with her husband and pet, Emily took to Instagram to tell her fans what she has been up to while in quarantine. Lest you expect the expected steamy photoshoots of the supermodel, there’s something else that has piqued her interest lately. The Instagram influencer has a long list of books and music albums that she is reading and listening to and they seem to be the best recommendation for the current #stayathome situation.

For starters, she has been exploring 'All About Love: New Visions' by Bell Hooks. Making the most of the lockdown, Emily shared her feedback on her post, commenting on a few chapters and quoting parts of the book.

The next in her reading list is ‘This Life’ by Martin Hagglund, a book on philosophy. "It focuses on the value of time and the power we have in what we chose to do with it. He argues that the finite amount of time we have in this life is what gives life purpose. In a moment when many of us have more time on our hands and less things that make us distracted, this is a nice read to offer perspective and purpose," she says in her comments. This seems apt for the current scenario with the global society in chaos and her suggestions come in as an encouragement for her fans to get through these tough times.

On the music front, Emily goes all nostalgic with her choices and revisits a band from her high school days. Electrelane is what's on her playlist and as she dishes out to her fans, "My favorite tracks are Saturday, Birds and The Greater Times."

Shifting from her "hottest model" persona to a calming voice during a chaotic environment of the global pandemic, Ratajkowski is not only keeping herself entertained, busy and enlightened, but also helping her fans and followers find ways to make use of this time in a positive way.
