If the episode titles of 'Stranger Things' Season 5 are any indication, there is a new villain, Camazotz, in the final instalment. Over the years, the Duffer Brothers have cleverly referenced enough pop culture and Dungeons & Dragons, being the biggest. The show's main characters are big fans of the game and have previously labeled the multitude of creatures in the Upside Down after D&D monsters.

There is a strong possibility that the final season will follow the same pattern. While the storyline is shrouded in mystery, the episode titles feature an "Escape from Camazotz" (episode 6) that sounds much like another D&D creepy creature reference. For those unaware, ScreenRant describes Camazotz as the god of bats in the game, and also goes by the name  Zotzilaha.

The mention of bats also takes us back to Season 4, where Eddie Munson's  (Joseph Quinn) death was from the attack of the "demobats" after his electric and iconic "Master of Puppets" performance. With the creatures acting as Vecna's minions, speculations are rife that Camazotz is perhaps another of Vecna's followers who could be a threat to Hawkins' heroes.

In related news, here are the titles for the episodes of 'Stranger Things' Season 5:

"Chapter One: The Crawl"

"The Disappearance of... "

"The Turnbow Trap"

"Sorcerer"

"Shock Jock"

"Escape from Camazotz"

"The Bridge"

"The Rightside Up"

The official synopsis for season 5 reads, "Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished — his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming — and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone — the full party — standing together, one last time."

'Stranger Things' season 5 will release in three volumes this fall: four episodes on Nov. 26, three episodes
on Christmas, and the epic finale
on New Year’s Eve. Each volume releases on Netflix at 5 p.m. PST.
