'Broken man': Stephen Bear put on suicide watch as he begins prison life over Georgia Harrison sex tape
CHELMSFORD, ENGLAND: 'Celebrity Big Brother' winner Stephen Bear, who was sentenced to 21 months in prison a week ago over releasing a sex tape, has been put on suicide watch as he is a "broken man" who has been "crying for days". Bear, 33, received a 21-month prison term for uploading a private sex tape with ex Georgia Harrison on his website OnlyFans without her consent.
His fiancée Jessica Smith has admitted that in an effort to boost his spirits, she has sent Moonpig cards, five emails, voicemails, and has planned a visit to HMP Chelmsford. However, a source close to Bear has stated that he was "completely unprepared" for being incarcerated, believing he would have avoided prison if convicted.
He is currently reportedly following a process for inmates who are at danger of suicide or self-harm, which involves frequent cell inspections and a buddy system, as reported by DailyMail.

'He is at his lowest ebb'
According to an Insider, "He is at his lowest ebb and has been crying for days. He never expected he would be jailed and is completely unprepared." The Insider further added, "Whatever anyone thinks about him, right now he is a broken man and feels awful for putting his family through this. His family members are very concerned for his wellbeing. It's hard for them to see him suffer like this alone." The insider concluded, "It's been a very difficult situation for Stephen's loved ones. There is a lot of hatred being aimed towards Stephen and those close to him but they will continue to support him as he finishes his sentence," as per reports.
'Only appropriate' punishment
Bear is in prison for making £2,000 ($2 400) from a sex tape that was captured on CCTV in his garden on August 2, 2020, without Harrison's knowledge, after he put it up on OnlyFans. A jail sentence, according to Judge Christopher Morgan, was the "only appropriate" punishment, because Bear "deliberately lied" when he claimed he deleted the film for the purpose of "exploiting the economic value" of it, as reported by Sun.
Shortly after the sentencing, Georgia expressed her happiness and relief that the situation was resolved. She said, "Today's sentence is a vindication of what I've been put through and sends a clear message that the police and the courts take this matter very seriously." She further added, "I want to let all other victims of this crime know that I stand in solidarity with them and I have absolutely no regrets in waiving my anonymity."
