Things have taken a turn for the worse in 'Stargirl'. At the end of Episode 12, we saw Brainwave (Christopher James Baker) taking control over all the adults in Blue Valley, including Pat (Luke Wilson) and Barbara (Amy Smart). In fact, at a crucial point, a brainwashed Pat fights Courtney (Brec Bassinger). It's time for the young Justice Society Of America (JSA) to bring down the ISA (Injustice Society Of America). Going by the promos for the next episode, we are heading for a climactic finale between the two warring factions. Meanwhile, Jordan Mahkent AKA Icicle (Neil Jackson) promises Barbara to kill her husband and daughter, and it remains to be seen if he carries out that promise.

The synopsis for the next episode reads, "As the Injustice Society of America come one step closer to accomplishing their mission, Courtney and the JSA face off with Icicle and the villains of the ISA." 'Stargirl' has been a thrilling ride and it's almost a shame to bid goodbye to Season 1. Devious villains, including Brainwave, Icicle, Sportsmaster, Tigress, Shiv and Dragon King were introduced and the new superheroes were recruited to the Justice Society Of America. Interspersed with all the action, there were also family dramas that threatened to break relationships up for good. Barbara finally found out that her daughter is a staff-wielding superhero, and she wasn't pleased with this revelation at first. She almost escaped left town with Courtney, only to change her mind and stay back and help Pat out. Pat and Barbara's relationship is still rather fractured, and it is unknown whether it will be repaired anytime soon. Mike found out about all the villains and superheroes in Blue Valley, and about time too, as he was the last person who discovered that his sister was fighting villains.

There have been a few deaths as well in this season. Apart from Courtney's innocent classmate Joey, Henry King Jr (Jake Austin Walker) was killed by his own father, Brainwave as he did not join the ISA and chose to be on the side of the JSA. Who will die, and who will survive the final showdown?

'Stargirl' airs on CW, Tuesdays at 8 pm.
