'Sorry for Your Loss' season 2: Release date, plot, cast, and everything you need to know about the Elizabeth Olsen-led dark comedy

Everybody's favorite Scarlet Witch will return to TV screens as the grieving young widow Leigh who meanders through the aftermath of her husband's unexpected death.

With Facebook Watch following YouTube premium's footsteps, it has ventured into the series genre as a result of which a lot of promising projects are arriving - one of them being 'Sorry for Your Loss', a second season for which is set to arrive soon. Everybody's favorite Scarlet Witch aka Wanda Maximoff from the Avengers franchise is set to return to TV screens as the grieving young widow Leigh (played by Elizabeth Olsen) who meanders through the aftermath of her husband's unexpected death and explores her life in a world without him, reassessing all the relationships she has known and live through so far. Here's all you need to know about the upcoming series.

Plot:

According to the official synopsis of the series, "The 10-episode half-hour dark comedy series will follow Leigh Shaw ( Elizabeth Olsen), a young widow who is forced to reassess her life and relationships following the death of her husband."  Olsen plays the role of Leigh, the newly widowed character, who relies on her mom and sister to get by this new life. Sorry For Your Loss has emerged as a critically acclaimed series with a star turn performance by Olsen. It was named one of the best shows of 2018 by numerous publications, including The New York Times, Vulture, The Atlantic and Time.

Season Two follows Leigh’s complex and ultimately inspiring journey as she tries to move forward in the world while still feeling the aftershocks of loss. A deeply human exploration of grief, Sorry For Your Loss mixes pathos and pain, humor and hope.

Elizabeth Olsen stars as Leigh Shaw, who has been described as a "writer and recently-widowed woman. Following her husband's death, she quits her job writing an advice column for the website Basically News and moves in with her mother and sister. She currently works as an instructor at her mother's fitness studio, Beautiful Beast." Kelly Marie Tran plays Leigh's recovering-alcoholic sister, Jules Shaw, who also works at Beautiful Beast.

Jovan Adepo's Danny Greer is Leigh's brother-in-law, with whom she has always had an acrimonious relationship. Mamoudou Athie plays the role of Leigh's husband Matt Greer, a high school English teacher and Leigh's late husband who possessed aspirations of becoming a comic book artist. Leigh and Jules's mother, Amy Shaw is played by Janet McTeer, and owns and runs her own fitness studio, Beautiful Beast.

Created by Kit Steinkellner, the show first premiered on September 18, 2018. Steinkellner is an American playwright and screenwriter. She is best known for the Facebook Watch series and her award-winning comic 'Quince'.
