Sophie Turner throws shade at Evangeline Lilly, asks people to stay home and not be 'f*****g stupid'
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the government has been trying to contain the virus by asking people to quarantine themselves and maintain social distancing. However, actress Evangeline Lilly, who is known for her role in 'The Antman and the Wasp', hinted that she was not following it.
Lilly received a lot of backlash when she hinted that she has been going about her life in the usual way and had even taken her children out. "Just dropped my kids off at gymnastics camp. They all washed their hands before going in. They are playing and laughing. #businessasusual," she wrote.
Fans were quick to call her out for risking the lives of her children and questioned her about why she wasn't quarantining herself. She then replied to one of the comments and wrote, "I am also immune-compromised at the moment. I have two young kids. Some people value their lives over freedom, some people value freedom over their lives. We all make our choices."
To another comment, she called coronavirus just the flu. "Where we right now feel a lot too close to Marshall Law for my comfort already, all in the name of a respiratory flu," she said. "It’s unnerving…Let’s be vigilant right now. And kind. Watchful and gracious — keeping a close eye on our leaders, making sure they don’t abuse this moment to steal away more freedoms and grab more power."
The actress also said that the timing of the flu was questionable as it was so close to the election. While the fans thought that Lilly was not convincing enough with her reply, 'Game Of Thrones' actress, Sophie Turner shaded Lilly during her Instagram Live.
The actress advised everyone to stay home and emphasized the importance of maintaining social distance. "Stay inside. Don't be f*****g stupid. Even if you count your 'freedom over [...] your health'. I don't give a f**k about your freedom. You could be infecting other people, other vulnerable people around you by doing this. So stay inside guys! It’s not cool, it’s not big, and it’s not clever… And that’s the tea," she said.
Unlike Lilly, Turner has been spending time with her husband Joe Jonas and there is no doubt that she will be following the protocol of staying at home.
