'SO wrong': Internet slams 'RHONJ' star Teresa Giudice for misusing Buddha statue to promote podcast
NEW JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY: Teresa Giudice has been under fire from 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' viewers for uploading an "offensive" picture featuring her daughter Milania Giudice for promoting her podcast 'Namaste B*****s'. The 'RHONJ' star co-hosts the podcast with her friend Melissa Pfeister and has been promoting her merchandise by roping in her daughters for posing on Instagram.
It was all going well, until recently, Teresa got her daughter Milania to pose with a Buddha statue. Social media users blasted Teresa for her blatant misuse of religion for promotional purposes. The users have asked if she even knows anything about Buddhism and said "can’t put a rosary on a Buddhist statue."

Teresa Giudice blatant misuse of Buddha Statue
The 'RHONJ' star recently shared an insensitive post promoting her podcast and many were offended by her obvious disregard for religious sentiments. The post was captioned: "You can say … When Namaste B$tches is a family affair." The picture shows Milania, Teresa's 17-year-old daughter, sitting with her legs crossed and her eyes closed, imitating the Buddha statue that was placed next to her. But what led the internet to criticize Teresa was the rosary placed in the hands of the statue. Users have asked her what her faith is, "Are you Buddhist or Catholic."
One user said, "Guys, this is SO wrong! Please don’t sit next to Buddha with something that offends Hindus, Buddhists, and so many others. So terrible to see. Disappointing." Another said, "She’s the last person I would buy anything from. She knows nothing about NAMASTE!" One more user added, "This is super offensive. Buddhism is a religion and not to be used as a gimmick for your slogan or Marketing." While a fourth person commented, "this is incredibly offensive 🚩 lol crazy what people try to make money off of."
Teresa Giudice's faith rested in yoga
During her 15-month prison sentence, the star questioned her faith, but then she discovered yoga and it centered her. During her 11-month prison sentence in 2015, yoga was the one thing that could calm Teresa Giudice's ongoing anxiety about her daughters. "Yoga helped me get through it all," the Real Housewives of New Jersey star tells WomensHealthMag.com. "I used to think about them constantly. It used to break my heart, being away from them."
It was her path to healing and now she's a certified yoga instructor, so Teresa just wanted to show her real self through her podcast. The name of her podcast is closely related to her love for yoga. She came up with the idea of this podcast to show her truth because 'RHONJ' doesn't tell everything.
