LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Sister Wives' stars Kody Brown and Christine Brown ended their relationship in 2021, sparking a fierce custody battle over their six children. Presently, their 13-year-old daughter Truely Grace Brown resides with her mother Christine Brown, and her fiance David Wooley. The custody arrangements have added further complexity to the already heated situation between the former couple.

Ever since going public about their relationship in February 2023, David and Christine haven't been shy about flaunting their love on social media. They frequently share glimpses of their journey and express how "blessed" they feel to have each other. Kody, however, thinks it's unfit for his teen daughter to live with them.

Why does 'Sister Wives' star Kody Brown not want Truely to live with Christine and David?

Kody has expressed his concerns about their 13-year-old daughter living in an unmarried couple's home. Sources close to the family revealed that Kody, 54, finds it inappropriate and uncomfortable for his daughter to reside in an unwed household. Given the history of her polygamy, there's added pressure for Christine to quickly tie the knot with her fiance David. The couple, who got engaged in April, is reportedly planning a summer wedding.

The conflict within the family continues to intensify as Kody's conservative mindset clashes with Christine's desire for a happy life. The custody battle between them is also heating up with the demand for equal rights for both parents.

The 50/50 custody battle for daughter Truely Brown

The custody battle between the former couple from 'Sister Wives' is escalating, with Christine and Kody at odds over their daughter's custody. Following Christine's move from Arizona to Utah in the fall of 2021, she and Kody found themselves disputing custody arrangements.

Kody expressed his views in an October 2022 episode, asserting that he has the right to shared custody and involvement in their daughter's life. He questioned Christine's decision to move without consulting him. In response, Christine expressed her frustration, stating that it was ironic for Kody to suddenly desire equal time with their children now that she was leaving. She highlighted his lack of involvement in the past and asserted that he hadn't been around enough for 50/50 custody. Christine has since relocated to a new $770,000 home with her fiance David, while her $1 million Salt Lake City home is being rented out.
