FLAGSTAFF, ARIZONA: The latest episode of the Season 17 of 'Sister Wives' on Nov 27 appears to have come under fire after Kody Brown, who started this TLC reality series featuring his marriages to four women in 2010, said he doesn't want to help his wife Janelle build a house. He expressed that he felt "disrespected" by her during the Covid 19 pandemic. "I'm not going to break my back to work for you when you don't respect me, I'm just not. And Janelle needs somebody who will break their back to get this project done and that's not me right now," Kody said, according to Insider.

The argument between Kody and Janelle started in this episode because Kody wanted Janelle to buy his ex-wife Christine's house so they could rent it out in the future. But Janelle said that she can not afford the mortgage for both houses. Janelle said, as stated by the Insider, the reason behind Kody insisting to buy Christine's house was because he wanted to keep that in the family, but she'd feel "stuck" and wasn't going to let Kody "steamroll" her. She also added by saying that he had a "hard summer" and was now making the building issues on the Coyote Pass property, which Kody agreed that he would divide into four plots to build four separate houses for each wife but later gave the idea of dividing the plots into five and building the fifth house for himself, "all my problem and blaming me for inconveniencing him." On the other hand, responding to it, Kody said, "Men don't feel love from women who don't respect them. I feel like Janelle struggles to respect me or show me respect. If you don't respect me, don't bother with the love."

However, many couldn't digest Kody's behavior and were quick to react. One said, Here’s an idea @realkodybrown, perhaps try to earn your wive’s respect instead of demanding it. That could be more effective. #SisterWives." Another individual wrote, "@realkodybrown dude, you have got to be the biggest victim and whiner plus never take any responsibility. Everything seems to be your wives’ fault. Get over yourself." While one more tweeted by saying, "Kody Brown is such a fuc&er! Kody asking Janelle to buy a house really means reinvesting your money in my pockets. Janelle has money but she’s not giving her money to Robyn the victim & the douchebag."

The slamming continued with one saying, "I think the reason @realkodybrown wants to subdivide into 5 properties is to have a place for the next Sister Wife he will bring into the family! After all, he has to replace @SWChristine2020! @TLC cancel #SisterWives! No one wants to watch that narcissist ever again!" Another wrote, "@realkodybrown you are the most disrespectful. Narcissistic, piece of garbage on earth. You have treated those women like your property. You don't deserve love and respect. You earn it by giving it. So you'll never have it."

Kody and his four wives

Kody got first married Meri in 1990, then Janelle in 1993, Christine in 1994, and finally Robyn in the year 2014. With his four wives, he has a total of 18 children, with whom he started this docuseries. However, after 17 seasons, Kody’s now ex-wife, Christine, split with him in November 2021 and is "dating very, very casually" since the breakup. In a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, as quoted by People, she said, "I'm single now, right? So I kind of just decide what I want to do and then do it. It's been just very, very simple. Everything's just a lot easier as far as just planning and day-to-day life. Not romantic, because that's way too fast, but dating for sure. I'm dating just for fun. Just keeping everything super light because that's just who I am right now."
