WEST HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA: There are several records to suggest Raquel Leviss, 28, and Tom Sandoval, 39, were friends for many years before their affair, which has rocked the 'Vanderpump Rules' universe. In a recently discovered video from July 2022, around the time the two began their affair, Leviss acknowledged growing "really close" to Sandoval. The 'Vanderpump Rules' actress, however, claimed that Sandoval, who is 11 years her senior, simply viewed her as his "little sister."

Leviss told E! News last summer, "I’ve gotten really close with Scheana [Shay] and Ariana and Tom Sandoval as well. I feel like he’s become one of my best friends lately." She continued to praise her co-star and said, "He just is so in touch with himself and is fully accepting of who he is and is so confident." Leviss continued, "I don’t know. I feel like he looks at me like a little sister and he’s supporting me in a very kind way. He’s a really great guy."

Leviss and Sandoval's 'platonic relationship'

The pair's friendly relationship quickly developed into a "full-on affair" despite Sandoval's 10-year engagement with Ariana Madix, who broke up with him last week. In fact, a source informed Page Six that while Madix, 37, was "out of town," the former beauty pageant winner "slept over" at the former couple's shared house. Moreover, their 'VPR' co-star James Kennedy, who was formerly engaged to Leviss, claimed the couple occasionally "get it on while Ariana [was] sleeping."

According to reports, Madix "found out" about the couple's affair at Sandoval's band concert after discovering inappropriate messages and sexually explicit videos sent by Leviss on her now ex-boyfriend's phone. In response to the fact that her 'Pump Rules' co-stars acquired the footage, Leviss filed a lawsuit. According to TMZ on Tuesday, the 28-year-old had her attorneys send letters to her cast members pleading with them to take down the video and stop spreading it.

The Bravolebrities' full reactions to the legal threats will be seen on the TV show later this year, although some appear unaffected by them. Earlier this week, the network revealed that it had been filming the fallout of the affair.

The Internet quickly reacted and mocked the fact that Sandoval allegedly viewed Leviss as "a little sister". A social media user said, "Can we get a recap of @raquelleviss family tree? Did her aunt raise her? Who raised her sister?"

One user questioned, "I agree, where was girl code, where was the loyalty 2 her as a friend/sister?" Another comment read, "My sister lives there. She just filmed a movie there too. Beautiful place. Have fun. Kiss the sky for me."
