Love is the best accessory: Simone Biles wore $120 dress and Amazon shoes for courthouse wedding with Jonathan Owens
HOUSTON, TEXAS: Keeping things simple, Simone Biles wore a $120 dress from a small online boutique and a pair of shoes from Amazon for her courthouse wedding to her now-husband, Jonathan Owens. The 26-year-old Olympic gymnast exchanged vows with the football star, 27, during an intimate ceremony held at a Texas courthouse on Saturday, April 22.
For her special day, Biles slipped into a stunning and elegant floor-length white ruffle gown that she picked out just days before the wedding. While giving an inside look into her nuptial, Biles answered several follower-submitted questions on Sunday when she explained that she purchased the ensemble for just $119 from an online clothing company called Selfie Leslie. The Olympian also shared that she paired her plunging tiered midi dress with a pair of strappy tie-up heels that she got from Amazon, according to Daily Mail.

'I am for the big wedding'
She admitted that the heels were 'not comfy at all' and that’s why she ‘changed into [another pair] for the pics. They were from Pretty Little thing - wide fit.' "Everything was ordered this week... Dress, wedding bands, shoes, and bouquets. Not quite prepared for the courthouse ceremony as I am for the big wedding," she continued. In addition to a ruffle dress and heels, Biles kept the simplicity of her look with a bracelet, necklace, and a pair of drop earrings.
In a separate post, Biles revealed that she and Owens are planning to have a destination wedding as their courthouse marriage came out of necessity. "We had to get married 'legally' in the U.S. – since our wedding will be a destination wedding," she wrote on her Instagram Story. Biles added, "We will be having a wedding in a couple of weeks." She remained mum about the location of the planned destination wedding but revealed that roughly 140 guests are expected to attend the ceremony. She also revealed that she will be wearing four different looks for the upcoming wedding where the color scheme is champagne, gold, and white, as reported by People.

"Kind of dramatic but you only have a wedding once," Simone explained, adding Owens will have seven groomsmen, while she'll have eight bridesmaids. Before giving deets about her wedding, Biles slammed trollers who criticized her hairstyle during Saturday's ceremony. She wore her hair tied back in a sleek ponytail, from which her hair hung in loose curls. Some users called it 'unkempt' and said she 'should have laid her edges.'
