MOSCOW, IDAHO: Moscow Police Department is reportedly investigating an Idaho fraternity house that may have been the last stop for couple Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin, who were brutally stabbed to death alongside Madison Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves in their off-campus accommodation on November 13.
Reed Ofsthun, president of the Sigma Chi fraternity house at the University of Idaho, noted on Tuesday, December 6, that the fraternity is fully cooperating with the police department regarding the quadruple homicide. The Moscow police earlier revealed that they have been narrowing down on the movements of the slain couple, who reportedly visited the frat house before going to the house where they were murdered. The fraternity is located about half a block from the Kings Road house where the murders happened.

According to a report by Daily Mail, police believe that Xana and Ethan visited the fraternity house from about 9 pm on November 12 until around 1.45 am, when they returned to Xana's off-campus home. Ofsthun confirmed that he was a friend with Xana and Ethan was a member of the frat. “I knew them. Ethan was always in the house, Xana was a good friend before Ethan even came up,” Reeds told the Rush Hour. He also stated that the Sigma Chi house has no security cameras that might help the authorities in the investigation.

When asked about the movement of the slain couple, Ofsthun said, “As of right now we’ve told Moscow PD, Idaho State Police, and the FBI all we know. We’re kind of leaving it up to them to piece it together. Obviously we don’t have the utilities or resources to do it on our own so we’re putting full faith in the officers and the detectives doing it.”
"That actually seems to be one of the larger areas that we don't have a lot of information in," Idaho State Police communications director Aaron Snell told Good Morning America of Ethan and Xana's movements on November 12. "So being able to locate what they did that night, to maybe who they contacted, maybe any routes they took home, that would be important to the investigation," he added.
Before probing Ethan and Xana’s movement, the Moscow police had been investigating Kaylee and Madison's activities on the night of the murders, which involved visiting a city bar and stopping at a sports bar and a food truck. Police said they looked into the theory that Kaylee had a stalker, as they continue to search for answers three weeks after the murders. They also noted that no evidence was found on Goncalves' dog Murphy, who was found at the scene. It has not yet been determined what room the dog was in when the murders took place.
