‘Show the package’: Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman mock Tom Brady’s ‘thirst trap’ snap in underwear
TAMPA BAY, FLORIDA: Tom Brady undoubtedly oozed hotness with his latest drool-worthy thirst trap, but his former Patriots pals, Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman, didn't seem to be too pleased with it. The 45-year-old father of three, who announced his retirement earlier this month, took to his social media on February 6 to share a saucy mirror selfie of himself sitting on the edge of a bed in a tropical paradise, wearing nothing but a pair of underwear with a strategically placed hand.
The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers star posted the picture in response to a "deal" he had struck with Brady Brand, an apparel line he launched in 2022. Brady originally promised that he will recreate one of the brands’ advertisements if their post received 40,000 likes. And not so surprisingly, the post garnered more than 49,000 likes. The brand then jokingly reminded him of their deal saying, "Hey @TomBrady, we haven't forgotten about this."

Brady, who is known for his competitive personality, immediately accepted the challenge and recreated the picture with a spicy touch. The two-time retiree shared the image with a caption seeking approval from Gronkowski and Edelman. "Did I do it right? @Edelman11 @RobGronkowski @bradybrand 😬😬," he wrote in the caption of his post.

Responding to Brady’s approval, Gronkowski said he doesn’t think Brady did it right and gave him some important notes for his next attempt. "His hand is not in the right place, he's covering up a little bit. You're not supposed to be covering up! That's what's supposed to be showing," Gronkowski jokingly told Entertainment Tonight. "You gotta show the package, Tom," Gronkowski said, before admitting that the shirtless selfie was unexpected of Brady.
'What are you covering, bubs?'
"When I saw that I was a little shocked," Gronkowski continued, "It's uncharacteristic of him, for sure, but that's what we love about Tom. When he throws a curveball, it's always for the fun and it's always great to see him doing that." However, Gronkowski was not the only one who had some constructive criticism for the seven-time Super Bowl champion. Julian Edelman also acknowledged "old Tommy boy’s” latest thirst trap in his latest Instagram video.
"Looks like old Tommy boy is getting into the thirst trap game," Edelman said in the video, "Lighting...I don't know, the background's great. Is it a green screen? I don't know," Just like Rob, Edelman also criticized Brady for his hand placement. "What are you covering, bubs? Let it hang, bubs!" he joked. “Gotta start somewhere bubs. Practice makes perfect.”
