NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘The View’ Season 26 has kicked off, creating some buzz around former co-star Meghan McCain’s criticism that the 'show keeps getting worse.' Her slamming the show was the "hot topic" during the appearance of Sunny Hostin on ‘Watch What Happens Live.’

Sunny Hostin, co-host of ‘The View,’ added some savage and supportive comments about the show to ex-co-host Meghan McCain’s resentment. When asked by Andy Cohen, the host of ‘Watch What Happens Live,’ Sunny’s replies sounded sarcastic when she referred to Meghan joining 'Real Housewives,’ and called her husband for his ‘mean’ tweets about Sunny. "Oh, let me take a drink," said Sunny, continuing by grabbing a martini next to her, "What can I say? I have not read the column. I’ve heard about it, and the show is a wonderful place; we’re the number one talk show in the country," before adding that she was surprised to see McCain’s comments about the show.

'Let me take a drink'

While attending as a guest on a Thursday night's episode of 'Watch What Happens Live,' Sunny was asked about the recent comment of McCain for the Daily Mail where she said, "The show keeps getting worse." She responded with her point of view about the show and addressed her friendship with Meghan. Although she was shocked to see McCain's comments, she respected Meghan and thought she'd be a great hire for Cohen's 'Real Housewives' franchise. Sunny did not go into detail and concluded by saying, "I wish her well. We're really happy on the show, we're really a cohesive group, and god bless."

What made Meghan McCain leave 'The View'?

Meghan’s engagement with the daytime talk show ‘The View’ from 2017–21 was incredible, until after she came back from her maternity leaves. as the show’s producer and co-hosts treated her show during her maternity leave. She revealed her reason for leaving the show because of how she was treated by the show’s producer and co-hosts. McCain expresses her departure as "a very public, very nasty breakup" and says "nothing on God’s green earth" could have convinced her to return.

Additionally, on her second day back, Meghan had a panic attack when Joy Behar, her former co-host, made a horrific comment on camera in front of the entire world "I did not miss you. Zero." Continuing with her comment, Joy said, "Nobody missed you; we didn’t miss you; you shouldn’t have come back." These rude comments prompted McCain to leave the show, as she did not expect this from her colleagues and was also experiencing postpartum anxiety. She also said, "I cried for days, had a panic attack, threw up, and decided on the day to leave the show."
