Freeform's 'Good Trouble’ returns with Season 2B after a short winter hiatus, with a lot more Gen Z drama and eerily comforting complications.

The spin-off series of 'The Fosters', which centers around the lives of Mariana and Callie, has presented us with several intriguing characters, who add as much life to the series as the Foster siblings.

And, who could have pulled off the first-generation Asian American stand-up comic and manager of The Coterie better than Sherry Cola herself?

In an exclusive interview with MEA Worldwide (MEAWW), the talented and highly-skilled Sherry spoke at length about her character development in 'Good Trouble' Season 2B, while drawing comparisons between her reel and real-life situations.

Sherry told MEAWW that the latter installment of the season would be exploring Alice's life outside The Coterie, which in terms is "refreshing". Besides meeting new friends and trying to establish herself in the world of stand-up, Alice's character will also witness a lot of drama unfold in her life in Lindsay's presence.

Elaborating on this, she said, "It is very exciting and also highly stressful for Alice. I'm in a moral dilemma because this is our mentor. But clearly, Alice is in a relationship and Joey means so much to her and Joey has already had so many talks. With Alice around Lindsay, it's just all very stressful for Alice.”

"I've definitely been in those situations in real life as well. It's really a conflict," Sherry shared, as she talked about putting herself in Alice's shoes.

Reflecting more on her experience in stand-up in real life, Sherry stated that in 'Good Trouble', she isn't putting herself on a pedestal, but it is interesting acting as someone else.

Although Sherry and Alice share a common interest in stand-up, their personalities are a world apart. While Alice is naive with bottled up emotions, Sherry is quite the opposite.

Unlike Alice who needs a push to pursue her dreams, be it as a comic or publicly identifying herself as gay, Sherry smartly carved her way to fame with her sheer talent and hard work.

“I kind of did everything under the roof from social media to promotion to board hopping on the weekends, and basically cut to Carson Daly thinking I was funny,” Sherry said as she called herself "very lucky to be a part of TV shows."

"I've just been kind of hustling and being myself and somehow I'm excited to do more and more and truly make more of an impact as well, just because of Asian representation. We're seeing some progress, but there could be so much more work. We were just getting started here."

Offering a little more insight into her "complicated" relationship with Lindsay, Sherry stated that "Joey loves Alice and Alice loves Joey. That's the bottom line." However, she says kissing Lindsey is not going to stop Alice from hanging out with her new mentor.

Does that mean we can still ship Lindsay and Alice? Well, it seems like we need to wait until the premiere of Season 2B to find the answer.
