Shakira briefly landed in Barcelona just to give Gerard Pique a kiss when they first started dating

While the Colombian singer has reportedly found her new love in Lewis Hamilton after her highly publicized separation from Gerard Pique, the "Queen of Latin Music" is counting her days as she faces the media trial regarding alleged tax fraud of almost $16 million.
The 'Waka Waka' singer made a surprise revelation before the judge in 2019 which has been leaked recently. Reportedly, the story is from the initial days of her relationship with the Spanish footballer in 2011.
Shakira 'had no guarantees about the success of their relationship'
At the time, the duo's hectic schedules made it challenging for both of them to spend much time together. According to Marca, Pique was described as a footballer with an appealing outlook and a reputation for being a flamboyant figure by Shakira. She said that there was no guarantee about the success of their relationship initially. "I never imagined that I would live in this country because of that boy with a beard who looked incredible," she noted.
Shakira's OTT gesture to romance Pique
Shakira wanted to win over Pique in the initial days of their relationship, taking it as a challenge to show how much she cared. So she tried hard to keep the affection between them alive and sparking. She shared an instance where she asked the pilot of a plane they were on to briefly land just to give Gerard a kiss during her flight over Barcelona. Shakira said that she was not aware that the brief landing would be counted as a whole day spent in Spain.
Shakira may not let her sons attend ex-Gerard Pique's brother's wedding
Meaww previously reported that Shakira might not allow her sons to attend the former FC Barcelona star's upcoming family gathering. Pique’s brother is slated to marry his girlfriend, Maria Valls, in a ceremony on June 24 in Valls’ parents’ home in Llavaneras, Barcelona. Naturally, Pique will be attending the ceremony with his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti. Journalist Laura Fa from the Mamarazzi further hypothesized that the wedding could be the first occasion when Sasha and Milan may interact with their father’s girlfriend, Marti.
According to Lorena Vazquez from ‘Y ahora, Sonsoles’, who spoke on her 'Mamarazzi' podcast, Shakira will be trying to keep her sons busy on the very day to prevent them from meeting Marti. She also said that Shakira, who was in Colombia taking care of her father at the time, had planned in advance to spend that day with her sons.
