Shakira may not let sons attend ex Gerard Pique's brother's wedding to keep them away from Clara Chia Marti
MIAMI, FLORIDA: Is Shakira going to prevent her sons, Milan and Sasha, from meeting their father Gerard Pique’s family in an upcoming family gathering? Once a power couple, the Colombian songstress and the former FC Barcelona star may soon find themselves at loggerheads regarding the impending marriage of Marc, Pique's brother. As per Hola! the ‘Waka Waka’ singer might not allow her sons to attend the ceremony. Pique’s brother is slated to marry his girlfriend, Maria Valls, in a ceremony on June 24 in Valls’ parents’ home in Llavaneras, Barcelona.
Quite naturally, Pique will be attending the ceremony with his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti. Journalist Laura Fa from the Mamarazzi further hypothesized that the wedding could be the first occasion when Sasha and Milan may interact with their father’s girlfriend, Marti.
According to Lorena Vazquez from ‘Y ahora, Sonsoles’, who spoke on her 'Mamarazzi' podcast, Shakira will be trying to keep her sons busy on the very day to prevent them from meeting Marti. However, she also said that Shakira, who was now in Colombia taking care of her father, had planned in advance to spend that day with her sons.
'Things are very ugly'
Vazquez further added that things between Shakira and Pique did not look great. She said, “Things are very ugly.” The Spanish soccer star’s family members were not happy with Shakira either. As the wedding would be a good opportunity for Sasha and Milan to meet with their family members from their paternal side, the Pique family was not happy with the situation. Vazquez also revealed in the podcast that the family members were pretty surprised that Marti and Valls had become good friends on the basis of several common interests.
'It's fun and flirty’
While the football star can often be seen spending quality time with his new girlfriend, Shakira has been seen spending “fun” time with Formula 1 racer Lewis Hamilton. In early June, Shakira was in Spain to watch Hamilton compete in the F1 Spanish Grand Prix. They were later seen spending quality time with each other along with other friends in Barcelona. As per People, sources close to them said, "They're spending time together and in the 'getting to know you' stage. It's fun and flirty."
