Venus and Serena Williams’ stepmother Lakeisha Graham reportedly spent all her money on “fast food and frivolities” despite filing for bankruptcy earlier this year. The accusations have been made by a creditor, who has been identified as David Simon, Radar Online reported citing court documents.

As per reports, Graham, who shares a son with Richard Williams after their marriage in 2009, remortgaged a house the couple owned by faking his signature. She apparently took $279,000 as loan from Simon. According to Richard's lawyer Thomas Gruseck, “The defendant, Lakeisha Williams, is one hundred percent at fault, by virtue of her improper actions as set forth above, for the encumbrance reducing the net value of the Plaintiff's subject property by virtue of the mortgage in favor of David Simon.”

“Plaintiff has retained undersigned counsel to prosecute this claim and promised to pay him a reasonable fee for his services. However, Plaintiff should not have to bear the cost of undoing the results of Defendant’s wrongful conduct, and attorney's fees and costs are a part of a claim for common-law indemnification,” Gruseck added.

The 43-year-old blew the loaned money "on a failed trucking business, according to court documents,” The Sun reported, which also added: “She then lost a lawsuit against Simon, who demanded his money back plus interest.” However, a day before the house was about to be auctioned in February, she filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy and also requested to be in possession of the Palm Beach Gardens’ four-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom, 3,422 sq ft property.

The court papers showed that Simon wanted the court to dissolve the case. Also, in new filings, the lender has reportedly claimed that the 1995 house, which was purchased for $335k by Richard and Williams sisters’ mother Oracene Price, “remains in significant disrepair, and the roof has not been repaired. [Lakeisha] has no insurance on the house because it is not insurable. And the house’s location makes it especially susceptible to windstorm damage.”

He went on to say that “[Lakeisha] does not have sufficient disposable income needed to cure the mortgage default,” before mentioning her earnings “appears significant” but she “spends all her income on fast food and frivolities.” As per Radar Online, Simon said “her bank account statements show that Lakeisha has increased her income and increased her spending.” Simon has reportedly stated that Graham “cannot afford to make an $11,000/month payment”.

In the motion, he has also accused Richard’s estranged wife of not producing “the cash receipt she testified about in connection with the roof repairs she claims to have made to her unlicensed contractor.” “When they asked Lakeisha for the records she told them she was ‘on the road, driving her truck.’ The creditor said this was no excuse and wants the judge to step in,” the Radar report added.

Meanwhile, a Palm Beach County court is overseeing Richard and Graham’s years-long divorce drama. In a new twist, Graham has requested the court to dismiss the case as her lawyer reportedly said, “The wife believes that the parties have reconciled and have engaged in an active marital life including having regular weekly sexual relations including but not limited to on January 9, 2022, the night before filing this motion.”
