LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Selena Gomez bared her natural beauty by sharing two stunning makeup-free selfies on Instagram. The 30-year-old actress and singer tagged fellow Disney star Miley Cyrus in the post with the caption 'Violet chemistry,' a reference to a song on Cyrus' latest album 'Endless Summer Vacation' In the song, which she describes as a "love letter to LA," Cyrus sings about staying a while and not denying the 'violet chemistry' between two people.

Gomez exuded the same confidence as the song's lyrics, showing off her glowing complexion in selfies. In one photo, she looked directly into the camera, while in the other, she donned a playful grin. Her dark, shiny hair fell in casual waves and she looked relaxed and content, perhaps enjoying some downtime at home.

'Miley collab when????'

After Cyrus responded to a post with a red heart, many fans flooded the comments section, noting her reference. One fan eagerly wrote, "MILEY COLLAB WHEN????" while another simply exclaimed, "The Miley reference 🥹." Fans were enamored with the singer, leaving comments such as, "You're so fucking real," "ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING GORGEOUS," and "That natural beauty 😍 skin is so good 🤌🏽" Among the admirers was actor Max Ehrich, who asked Cyrus out on a date, saying, "Let's go on a date to see my new movie Southern Gospel this week 🍿" Another fan took the time to pen a heartfelt message, stating, "THIS is why I respect & look up to you. You let everyone struggling trying to look like the filtered airbrush models feel that it's normal and it's okay. You are amazing, and your heart and soul were meant to be shared with the world. You've helped too many, and for that, I'm forever grateful."

Disney channel co-stars to rekindle friendship

As teenagers working for the Disney Channel, Gomez and Cyrus met and became fast friends. While Gomez had a guest appearance in Cyrus' series 'Hannah Montana,' she later starred in her own successful series 'Wizards of Waverly Place.' Despite their friendship, rumors of a rivalry between the two persisted for years, fueled by Cyrus' apparent mockery of a video Gomez and Demi Lovato made on her show 'The Miley and Mandy Show.' In addition, Gomez dated Cyrus' ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas, which only added to the speculation.

In April 2020, Gomez made an appearance on Cyrus' Instagram show, 'Bright Minded,' to discuss mental health. The pair had reunited for the first time spending time on Disney together. During the show, Cyrus opened up about how they reconnected, thanks to a simple but meaningful gesture - a butterfly emoji. Cyrus expressed her gratitude for the connection, saying, "Connecting with people and letting them know that you're there. A butterfly emoji is totally enough."

Last May, Cyrus showed her support for Gomez by sharing a photo of herself wearing a shirt with the phrase, "Hell yeah I'm Miley Cyrus," which was a reference to Gomez's Saturday Night Live monologue. In the monologue, Gomez shared how she asked Cyrus for hosting advice, to which Cyrus replied, "Hell yeah, I'm Miley Cyrus." Gomez flawlessly impersonated Cyrus's accent during the monologue, saying, "Just be yourself and have fun."
