LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Marvel’s new series ‘Secret Invasion’ has received an underwhelming start, with its first episode ‘Resurrection’ being panned by the fans for lacking substance. The Skrulls want Earth and Nick Fury just doesn’t seem to have the bandwidth to fight these invading aliens. The first episode ends with a victory for the Skrull rebel alliance when their leader Gravik detonates bombs in a Russian city, igniting a full-scale war between America and Russia to further his cause.

Fans went into the episode hoping for a miracle, but they were not only disappointed with a lackluster story but also by the opening credits, which seemed to have lost the human touch. When the opening credits for the show ended, fans realized that they have been cheated by Marvel. They saw the stark usage of Artificial Intelligence in the opening credits and were completely distraught. For them, it’s a bad ploy from Marvel to reduce costs by removing human labor. They are revolting on social media, criticizing Marvel for its unnecessary use of AI.

‘Just lazy and greedy’

The fans didn’t wait until the episode ended to disparage Marvel’s disappointing use of AI in ‘Secret Invasion'. A fan was aghast and wrote, “There’s simply no fucking way Marvel Studios decided to use AI for the intro to Secret Invasion. This can’t be real.” Another added, “No way in hell Marvel used AI to create the secret invasion intro, this is the worst intro for any TV show ever,” while a third fan called out Marvel writing, “Ai intro for secret invasion just lazy and greedy.” A distraught Marvel fan added, “I’m sorry but idc if using AI for the Secret Invasion intro “plays into the themes of the show” That’s not a justifiable reason for being lazy and piggybacking off of other artists’ stolen works.”

‘It looks gross’

The reactions did engulf the comic book social media community with another group of fans echoing the same notion. A fan wrote, “The SECRET INVASION credit sequence was made by AI, and it's immediately obvious because it looks gross. Talk about getting off on the wrong foot.” Another brought forth the plight of the artist and stated, "What do you mean secret invasion uses AI for the opening? Couldn’t they have just aired an artist, considering they have plenty of money?” However, a fan summed it up with a meme that said, “I laughed, to be honest.”

The first episode of ‘Secret Invasion’ is currently streaming on Disney+.
