CLEARWATER, FLORIDA: Scientology leader David Miscavige has been not found since the day a federal trafficking lawsuit was filed against him. Prosecutors claim that they have tried to serve David 27 times in the past four months, however, none of the attempts was successful.

Security guards at 10 Church of Scientology headquarters in Clearwater, Florida, and in California have refused to accept legal documents from process servers, according to The Independent. Further, the guards also claimed they didn’t know where David currently works or lives.

The trafficking case dates back to April, when three former Scientologists filed a lawsuit claiming that the trio was forced to work for the organization from the age of 10 until adulthood for little or no pay. They also allegedly experienced both verbal and physical abuse during this period. In the official statement by Gawain Baxter, who is suing the church along with his wife, Laura Baxter, and a third plaintiff, Valeska Paris, claimed that "Beginning as young as 10, the plaintiffs were forced to work in Scientology’s Cadet Org and Sea Org, providing unpaid and extremely low-paid labor, including landscaping, food service and janitorial work. The plaintiffs allege that Scientology employs numerous psychologically devastating tactics to achieve coercive control over members, including lengthy interrogation sessions in which individuals who have been abused are compelled to take full blame for those abuses and agree to make amends to their abusers."

Further, the release claimed, “For years, Scientology has exploited defenseless children and groomed them for a lifetime of servitude. Our clients were subjected to systematic indoctrination and manipulation that normalizes extremely abusive treatment. Throughout their formative years and into adulthood, they were forced to perform labor under unimaginable conditions,” said Neil L Glazer, an attorney for the plaintiffs and shareholder at the law firm of Kohn, Swift & Graf, P.C. “Their lives have been forever altered by this mistreatment.”

It also stated, “Growing up in Scientology, being separated from my family and subjected to severe verbal and physical abuse has scarred me in ways that I am still working through and uncovering. Sometimes it feels like it will never end. All the while, Scientology continues to abuse and exploit its members, including young children, and does so with virtually unchecked power,” said plaintiff Gawain Baxter. “To this day, there are completely defenseless minors being mistreated by Scientology leadership. Just as I was, they are isolated from family and have no way to protect themselves. Scientology must be held accountable for the human rights abuses and trauma it has inflicted without a shred of remorse.” Since the defendant in the case, David is missing, the legal papers have been served to five church entities named as co-defendants who have requested that the lawsuit be pushed into “internal arbitration” before a panel of Scientologist members. However, a judge is yet to rule on this filing.

'Probably with his bestie Tom Cruise'

The Internet quickly reacted to the recent update. A user said, "Check their fake Navy boat." "I hope it has something to do with Karma," added another. A user claimed, " Ask @TomCruise." Another tweet, referring to Scientology founder L Ron Hubbard, read, "Maybe he disappeared wherever L.Ron is or check Tom’s penthouse." "Have you checked w Tom cruise," asked a user. A tweet claimed he might be with his wife Shelley Miscavige who has been missing for 15 years and tagged actress Leah Remini who has been vocal about controversies regarding Scientology, saying, "maybe he’s with Shelley @LeahRemini." "Probably with his bestie Tom Cruise...," said another. Referring to Xenu, the extraterrestrial ruler of a "Galactic Confederacy" as per Scientology scriptures, a user wrote, "Maybe he and Xenu blasted off together."
