In a recent interview, Johansson shared her relationship dynamics with Jost and here’s what you need to know about the celebrity couple.
Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost got engaged in 2019 after dating for two years. In the interview, talking about how she fell in love with Jost, Johansson also revealed, how she finds their chemistry. “What you see is what you get with him”.
“He’s very optimistic, easygoing, funny, nice, and those are the qualities that really drew me to him”, she adds. She further said, “It’s so funny to have a long-term shared experience with someone and then the relationship changes."
It started as a friendship between them. Jost and Johansson first met on the sets of SNL in 2010, when she was on one of her six hosting stints for the hit NBC show. They were friends at first and used to socialize with each other, but started their relationship after Johansson got divorced from her then-husband, Romain Dauriac.
The two then started appearing publically and attended events like MET Gala, Emmy Awards, and the red carpet of ‘The Avengers: Infinity War’ together. They eventually made their relationship official, as they held hands on an SNL episode. But unlike most celebrity couples, Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost have kept themselves, quite a low profile.
In May 2019, Jost proposed to Johansson with a stunning 11-carat light brown diamond ring, which you might see her flaunting at her interview on Ellen DeGeneres’s show.
