'Dr Romantic 3': 5 reasons to look forward to Ahn Hyo-seop and Lee Sung-kyung starrer K-drama
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: 'Dr Romantic', the 2016 SBS K-drama starring Han Suk-kyu, is one of the very few K-dramas to get a sequel. Despite having a 20-episode first season, the second season of 'Dr Romantic', which aired in 2020, had another 16 episodes and became one of the most loved K-dramas of the time starring actors Ahn Hyo-seop and Lee Sung-kyung. Since the fans loved the show a little too much, the makers are now excited to announce the renewal of the K-drama for a third season.
On September 15, 2022, SBS announced that the K-drama 'Dr Romantic 3' which will premiere soon, continuing where it was left off in the second season. It has also been reported that just like Season 2, actors Ahn Hyo-seop who received exceptional popularity with the 2022 K-drama 'A Business Proposal' as well as Lee Sung-kyung who was last seen in the 2022 K-drama 'Sh**ting Stars', will both join Han Suk-kyu for the third season.

K-drama 'Dr Romantic' to return for Season 3
After the roaring success of the SBS drama 'Dr Romantic' also known as 'Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim', the show will be coming back for a third season. The K-drama depicts the story of a 'real doctor' and the setting of the show is a shabby local hospital called 'Doldam Hospital'.
With the way that Season 2 of 'Dr Romantic' ended, fans have been hoping for a third season and it looks like their dreams are finally coming true. The makers of 'Dr Romantic' announced the third season and to the satisfaction of fans, most of the cast and crew of the second season will be coming back for a third.
Apart from Han Suk-kyu, Ahn Hyo-seop, and Lee Sung-kyung, the writers and the producers of the show will also be returning for Season 3. While talking about the upcoming season, the makers said, "Dr Romanctic' is a work that we are very grateful for as it has received great love from viewers every season. Although two years have passed, the production crew and actors will do their best to prepare for the return of the many people who still remember and wait for 'Dr Romantic'. We ask for your interest and anticipation for 'Dr Romantic' which will come back even stronger."
The SBS drama will return in the first half of 2023 and is scheduled to be filmed in the days to come.

Reasons to look forward to 'Dr Romantic 3'
1. Doldam Hospital staff
From the first season itself, fans have loved how the show 'Dr Romantic' narrated the story of true doctors and realistically shows the struggles and troubles faced by 'real doctors' in a local hospital. Fans looking forward to the third season will love the chemistry between each doctor and how they work under the guidance of Kim Sa-bu (played by Han Suk-kyu).
2. The bickering between Ahn Hyo-seop and Lee Sung-kyung's characters
As it was their first time acting together in season 2 of 'Dr Romantic', fans loved the was Ahn Hyo-seop and Lee Sung-kyung's characters Seo Woo-jin and Cha Eun-jae, respectively. As the story of the two doctors starts in medical school where they were sworn enemies, the romance slowly brews with bickering between the two aspiring doctors. When they eventually start working together, there is a lot more bickering which turns into a romance that fans have absolutely loved.

'Dr Romantic 2' ended with a heartbreaking moment but now as it is announced that Ahn Hyo-seop will be joining the third season, fans are looking forward to Seo Woo-jin's return to Doldam Hospital after saying a tearful goodbye to his mentor Kim Sa-bu.
