The latest episode of an at-home edition of 'Saturday Night Live' finally granted Dr Anthony Fauci wish. He had confessed he would want Brad Pitt to play him on the show and the actor finally took upon the role as he hosts the latest episode that aired on Saturday, April 25. The episode's cold open segment was focused on President Donald Trump's discussion about how coronavirus pandemic has been affecting the US.

Pitt pointed out how many people were not getting a chance to test themselves for coronavirus. "When he said everyone can get a test, what he meant was almost no one," he said as Fauci.

The next footage showed Trump talking about disinfectants and how things would have been a lot better if one could use them for treating coronavirus on humans. He also made a reference to a study that spoke about the powerful effect that solar light appears to have in killing the coronavirus. While he received a lot of backlash for his comments, Pitt as Fauci was quick to show his disappointment with the statement.

Pitt kept his hand on his face to express his concerns over this statement. "I know I shouldn't be touching my face, but..." he said. He further pointed out how Trump has been talking about firing Fauci. Trump had previously promoted demand for Fauci's firing but later dismissed these claims.

At this point, Pitt decided to remove his disguise and thanked Fauci for everything he has been doing to make sure the spread of coronavirus is controlled. He also took this time to thank all the healthcare workers who have been on the frontline.

"To the real Dr Fauci, thank you for your calm and your clarity in this unnerving time," Pitt said as himself after removing his wig and dropping the Fauci accent. He also thanked healthcare workers and announced that the show was "sort of" live from New York.

As the show progressed, SNL was quick to point out how Trump's administration was not doing enough to contain the spread. The show hinted that the POTUS was at fault for what was happening in the US and how the coronavirus pandemic was being tackled. The show definitely did not hold back in pointing fingers at Trump and gave viewers a show that they would remember.
