Amber Heard fans showered praise on Sarah Paulson after she followed the embattled actress on Instagram following her loss to ex-husband Johnny Depp in a high-profile defamation case.

In one of the most-discussed trials in recent times, a Virginia-based jury ruled in a unanimous decision that Heard, 36, defamed Depp, 58, when she called herself a victim of domestic abuse in a 2018 op-ed for The Washington Post. She was ordered to pay $15 million in damages, including $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages. The jury also awarded Heard compensatory damages of $2 million as she was defamed when Depp's lawyer Adam Waldman called her abuse allegations a hoax.

"SARAH PAULSON STARTED FOLLOWING AMBER HEARD ON INSTAGRAM!" one gushed.

"Sarah Paulson followed amber on IG she’s always been so real," another wrote.

"I’ve always loved Sarah Paulson & I’m happy to hear she’s showing support for Amber by following her on Insta," someone else added.

"@MsSarahPaulson THANK YOU SARAH FOR SUPPORTING AMBER HEARD!!" another chimed in.

Heard barely received support from her Tinseltown colleagues during the trial, but some celebrities came out of the woodwork to support her following the jury verdict that overwhelmingly favored Depp. The 'Aquaman' star's statement slamming the verdict was liked by 'Game of Thrones' actress Lena Headey, along with 'The Good Fight' actress Sarah Steele; singer Kate Nash and Melanie Lynskey of 'Yellowjackets.'

Meanwhile, 'Fast and the Furious' actress Nathalie Emmanuel liked tweets in support of Heard. Actress Mia Farrow posted a New Yorker story by Jessica Winter entitled, "The Depp-Heard Verdict Is Chilling." She quoted Winter saying domestic violence victims could feel "disbelieved, shamed, and ostracized" due to the outcome of the trial. Courtney Love supported Depp prior to the verdict but said she felt for Heard. "I've been the most hated woman in America. I've been the most hated woman in the world, before TikTok, and it's really a lot of empathy for what that must feel like for Amber. Can you imagine how that feels? Jesus," Love said. However, she said she felt Heard had "abuse[d]" the #MeToo movement.

Actress Julia Fox suggested in May that Heard couldn't truly abuse Depp owing to his physical and financial power relative to hers. Alec Baldwin's daughter Ireland had initially called Heard a "disaster of a human being" but later walked back on those comments. "I regret chiming in about the whole thing because the reality of it is that it's all very sad," she said in an Instagram Q&A. "And I feel bad in different ways for the both of them. I was trying to [be] clear that men can be abused as well and anyone who thinks differently is an idiot."

David Krumholtz, an actor who worked with Heard on the 2011 series 'The Playboy Club,' openly slammed Depp. "Drugs and alcohol turn men into monsters. I believe Amber Heard," he wrote on Instagram. "She is not innocent. But she IS a victim. Johnny Depp's smugness during the trial is sickening." Meanwhile, Heard's longtime pal Eve Barlow has also remained firm in her support for the actress despite facing constant backlash.
