Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola teases her return to 'Jersey Shore' with new selfie
JERSEY SHORE, NEW JERSEY: Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola recently teased her return to the MTV show 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation'. The reality star is all set to reunite with her castmates after a decade-long hiatus.
However, it is still unclear if Giancola, who was one of the 'Jersey Shore' original cast members and appeared on the MTV breakout reality series for six seasons from December 2009 to December 2012, is back in a full-time capacity. Meanwhile, the current season of 'Family Vacation' returned with Season 6 at the end of January and has aired seven episodes.

Giancola recently took to her social media to tease her return to the MTV show. She shared a stunning selfie of herself on the set of an MTV show. After all the speculations, Giancola cleared the air in the caption. She penned, "Okay I can finally say… I’m backkk!" She also tagged 'Jersey Shore' on her photo. Giancola also shared a short clip from the set on her Instagram Stories. Meanwhile, the official social media handle of the show also teased her return. They shared a photo of Giancola sitting on a chair with a boom mic and camera in the frame. The photo seemingly teased that Giancola has started filming a confessional. The caption of the photo reads, "She’s still the sweetest b***h you’ll ever meet. 🎥💋 @sammisweetheart."
Why did Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola take hiatus from 'Jersey Shore'?
The 'Jersey Shore' reboot was first announced in 2017 and Giancola was the only person not listed among the cast. At the time, the reality star revealed on her social media her reasons for not returning to the show. Giancola wrote, "I have chosen not to join the show this season because I am at a completely different place in my life right now focusing on my businesses and relationship." She added, "I am not the same person as I was when I was 22. At 31, I am currently extremely happy in every aspect of my life and want to avoid potentially TOXIC SITUATIONS." Giancola further shared, "However, it was a difficult decision as I love my roomies. I've decided to focus on me, my future, and what truly makes me happy." Giancola further added that she will forever be grateful to Jersey Shore and everything it has brought to her. Giancola also said, "I've just decided to live my life for me these days." For the unaware, Giancola starred alongside Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino, Jenni 'JWoww' Farley, Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi, Pauly 'DJ Pauly D' DelVecchio, Angelina Pivarnick, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, and Deena Nicole Cortese. The show ran from 2009 to 2012 until MTV rebooted it in 2018 as 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.'
