The undeniable Mexican beauty Salma Hayek spoke about her roots over social media, and fans were captivated by the Latina's pride in her culture.

The actress, known for more than her perfect figure and flawless beauty, bears an attitude of love and acceptance that has Latinos proud to see a more human side to the actress, stripped from the glamour.

On her Instagram account that has over 13 million followers, she posted a video of a public event in Veracruz. She captioned the post, "This is my people!!! Esta es mi gente!!! Arriba Veracruz!!! Y que viva Mexico!!! #mexico #veracruz," which translates to “This is my people! Veracruz up! And may Mexico live.” Needless to say, this won her all the more adoration from her followers and fans.

At 53 years of age, the starlet looks like she has not aged a day. Supporters poured in with 'double taps' and lovely comments. Her Instagram account shows the warm personality that the actress is associated with along with pictures that have wowed more than a few people. She recently posted Instagram clips from her talk shows to thank her 13 million followers, one post containing 6 and the other containing 7 clips.

About two weeks ago, Hayek made news when she swore off cosmetic surgery after she tried to get lip injections for a role in a movie. In the upcoming movie 'Like a Boss', the actress plays Claire Luna, a beauty mogul and Hayek thought physical alterations would aid in her feeling like more of her character.

In a interview with InStyle Magazine, she said, "At first, the part was a very straightforward, ambitious businesswoman, it was fun to work with Miguel and the writers to create an actually crazy character." After being told about the painful procedure and getting a needle in her mouth, the actress decided against it. Instead, she used fake teeth to help make her mouth more evident or pronounced.

Her ways in speaking up about culture and the support of it seem to be strengthening on social media, and people are definitely here for that.
