Sacha Baron Cohen slams 'big bellied' Donald Trump and 'antisemitic' Kanye West as Borat
WASHINGTON, DC: Sacha Baron Cohen took shots at both Donald Trump and Kanye West during his performance at the 45th Kennedy Center Honors on Sunday, December4. That same evening, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband Paul made his first public appearance after his attack. Cohen made fun of Trump's orange appearance and chubby belly as his popular screen persona Borat.
During his homage to Irish rock band U2, Borat blasted West's antisemitic remarks. The actor cracked jokes as the audience erupted with delight. Cohen, as Borat, kicked off his monologue saying, “I am told the president of yours today is here. Where are you, Mr. Trump?” President Joe Biden was seated in a box as the cameras panned to him, and Borat cracked a joke, “You don't look so good,” adding, “Your big belly is gone. And your pretty orange skin has gone pale.” The audience erupted in laughter, including Biden. Then, Cohen shifted his focus to First Lady Dr Jill Biden who was seated close to the president. “But I see you have a new wife. She is very erotic. I must look away before I get a Bono,” Borat said. Jill was seen clapping and laughing in response.

Without breaking character as Kazakhstani journalist Borat, Cohen then took down West. “I must say I am very upset about the antisemitism in USA. It is not fair. Kazakhstan is number one Jew crushing nation. Stop stealing our hobby. Stop the steal. Stop the steal,” he said. “Your Kayne - he tried to move to Kazakhstan and even tried to change his name the Kazakhstan way. But we said he's too antisemitic, even for us,” Borat said, as per Daily Mail. Paul was seated in a box seat next to Pelosi, more than a month after the horrific hammer attack in his San Francisco home.
Pelosi was wearing a heat and glove on his left hand. Vice-President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, who gave the speaker a kiss on the cheek, were seated next to him. The awardees for this year included actor George Clooney; musicians Amy Grant and Gladys Knight; Tania León, an American composer of Cuban descent; and U2 comprising Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr.
