LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Greta Gerwig's 'Barbie' promotions are in full swing and are doing great things for the already highly-anticipated summer release. The producers, Warner Bros., have been coming out with new promo teasers every other day in preparation for the huge premiere all over the world, revealing new things about the whimsical Barbieland.

In a new clip that is the first look of the film, it is in fact not the titular character of Barbie but Ken who steals the spotlight. We get another insight into the characters of the film and especially, Ken who has got all the fans curious because of his unique characterization.

Ken's hilarious way of forming conversations

It's been proven from the previous teasers and trailers that Barbieland is more absurd than its strange unrealistic dollhouse setting. While it is extremely close to how the dolls are played with in real life by young children, the real-ness of it all makes it an unsettling fantasy, especially with stars like Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Alexandra Shipp, and Kate McKinnon involved.

The primary evidence of this is the way these dollhouse characters interact with each other. Known for playing mature characters, the major actors initially put you off with conversations you could only witness in a sandbox in their very obvious adult forms. Ken is probably the best example of that out of all characters in Barbieland. He has the most childlike innocence to him when it comes to making conversations and generally behaving as well.

The new clip reveals something similar to the previous trailers where Ken asks Barbie if he could stay over and neither of them knows for what reason. This time, Ken asks Barbie again while crossing his fingers, "Babrie, can I come to your house tonight?" and celebrates with his fists in the air when Barbie says "yes."

Ken reveals his job in Barbieland

We know much about the multitudes of careers that Barbie has taken up so far in her universe, from lawyer to several kinds of sportspersons and even the President! Careers have been a central part of Barbie's 'I can be' campaign that encourages young children who play with the doll to envision their future in a different light. Now, much is not known about 'just' Ken's career prospects and he is usually barely a side character in her extended film universe as well. This new clip shows us Ken acknowledging his unknown professional status in the world of Barbies.

The new clip gives us more of the adorable Ken as he seems to get an injury checked by doctor Barbies. "Shredding waves is much more dangerous than people realize," he says while sporting a theme-based pink hospital gown. Barbie responds to it with, "You're very brave Ken," for which her biggest fan Ken is extremely grateful. Then he goes on to say, "You know surfing isn't even my job, and it is not lifeguard, which is a common misconception. As the dolls look in shock, he explains: 'Actually, my job, it's just "beach"'." One of the doctor Barbies played by Hari Nef then says, "And what a good job you do at Beach!"
