'What a character': Royal photographer Chris Jackson ‘struggled’ to capture Prince Louis
During Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee last weekend, Prince Louis certainly played up his antics for the camera and stole the show. However, the Royal photographer Chris Jackson, who has shot the British royal family for over two decades, claimed on Instagram Stories that he had a tough time photographing Louis because he was too busy laughing to take a nice photo.
During the Queen's 70th year on the throne festivities, the 4-year-old was a big hit, making a lot of amusing expressions at various events. Louis' expressions were a hit for four days of the celebration, beginning with a flyover on Thursday, June 2, at Buckingham Palace, when he was seen shielding his ears and making cheeky expressions. Louis' parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton tried to calm and divert him from the noisy jets soaring over the balcony during the celebration. The monarch, who is 96 years old, even spoke with her great-grandson and watched him go a bit crazy at the ceremony. Jackson claimed on Instagram that photographing Louis was tough because he was too busy cackling to capture a nice picture.

At Sunday's parade, Louis was once again the center of attention. When he stuck out his tongue and wiggled his face for photographers, the tot acted silly. Later, he sat on his grandfather Prince Charles' knee to see whether he was interested in the party. Prince Charles and his grandson Prince Louis enjoyed a very sweet and endearing moment at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee festivities on Sunday, June 5, when the small prince came and perched on his grandfather's knee.
He was then seen racing over to the Prince of Wales, who tried to distract his attention by pointing out many floats during the four-day weekend's final event. He delighted royal fans by wailing and shielding his ears during the Trooping the Colour flypast on Thursday, June 2. The event was attended by Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Zara Tindall, and her two eldest daughters Mia and Lena, as well as Princess Beatrice.
Harry and Meghan were also seen attending a Thanksgiving Service at St Paul's Cathedral in London on Saturday, June 4. The couple had chosen to stick to the script in order to maintain a low profile throughout the weekend. At the Queen's Thanksgiving Service at St Paul's on Friday, June 3, they had to do with second-row royal rank. On Sunday, June 5, the couple traveled back to California in a private plane.
