Prince Charles celebrates grandson Louis' second birthday with adorable photo of the two hugging
Prince Charles has released a never seen before picture with his grandson Prince Louis in order to mark his grandson's second birthday. The heart-warming black and white picture shows Prince Charles smiling while holding Louis to his chest. Louis is seen wrapping his arms around his grandpa's neck in an adorable manner. The picture appears to be a favorite of Charles given it is placed among a collection of treasured family photos in the drawing-room at Birkhall.
The photograph was shared by the official Clarence House Twitter account along with the caption, "A very happy birthday to Prince Louis, who turns two today. The young Prince enjoys a hug from his grandfather the Prince of Wales."
It is not known when the picture was clicked but seems to be at an informal family event given Charles was seen sporting a short sleeves shirt. The background of the picture suggests that it had been taken in the garden of one of the royal homes.
The picture could have been clicked by Louis' mother, Kate Middleton, who is an eager and talented amateur photographer. The picture could also be seen in the background of a photograph that had been released earlier this month where Charles was seen opening London's Nightingale Hospital on a video call.
Fans and followers took to social media to wish Prince Louis and comment on how much they loved the picture. One such user commented, "I love all the photos of you & Prince Louis, the one of him 'attacking' you last year brings me joy."
Another added, "What a beautiful photo. Prince Louis surely loves his grandpa Wales." A third social media user shared, "I hope the pandemic will end soon and Grandpa Wales will give his grandchildren as many hugs and kisses as possible."
"What an absolutely beautiful photograph of such a clearly strong bond!" shared another user. "Lovely picture, you can see the pure joy on the face of The Prince of Wales," said another well-wisher.
In order to mark their son's birthday, Prince William and Kate also took to social media to share pictures of their youngest son. The pictures show just how fast little Louis is growing up.
He is the third child of Kate and William, along with 6-year-old Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who will be turning five next month.
In the pictures shared by Kate, little Louis is seen dressed in a blue checked shirt with his hands covered in paint.
He is seen beaming in the pictures as he is covered in paint as he makes a rainbow patterned handprint to stick up on the front window of the family home. The pictures of rainbows have started showing up on windows across the country after schools closed due to coronavirus.
